Edward (Nephilim Code Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.1 out of 5 stars 166 ratings

Book 2 of NEPHILIM CODE series. Recommended that you read Book 1 (Nova) first.

Nephilim once ruled this world and they are going to do so again. It’s only a matter of time. The Rogues had better get on board or get out of the way.

Being Nephilim is my birthright but it was taken from me. Stripped of my abilities and disowned I have to face life in the human world. Then I meet the Rogues and things start looking up. I’ve found, not one, but both of the Nephilim Ibira Corp wants. Now, all I need to do is get them to trust me.

Getting their trust is a double-edged sword and there’s more going on than I first realised. Discoveries and changes are just the beginning.

My name is Edward Huber.
And I’ve got a choice to make.

I’m TP Hogan. I write speculative fiction because it allows me escape…and explore hidden worlds, inhabited by the creatures of my imagination. Here’s your not-so-formal invitation to join me in these realms. Welcome to the hidden worlds of such stories as Shattered, Nephilim Code and the Therianthrope series. (Yeah, it took me a bit to learn how to say that, too.)

When I do step, owlishly, into reality it is to mess about with baking ideas, play DND, drink copious amounts of coffee and remember that there is a whole other world to explore, in the guise of the beautiful Atherton Tablelands of Queensland, Australia.

Oh, and I love talking to my readers and other authors. You can find me on Facebook, Instagram or on my website.

Enjoy your stay, and I hope to meet you in the next hidden world.

I hated Edward in book 1, but in this instalment of the Nephilim Code we see another side to Edward ( written in his POV) and he has become a very interesting character. A great storyline with intriguing characters, I WANT MORE.... More Niphilim more Rogues..

Edward must come to terms that he's not in a military operation and must learn to live with his new ability, with the help of Kate he soon realises that life as a rogue may not be as bad as he thought!

I would definitely recommend starting the series with book one so you don't miss anything important.

In the first book, Nova, you hated Edward. Now Edward has his own story and POV.

I loved the book Nova. Everything about that book spoke to me. The book Edward is a completely different book to me. Yes, it’s urban fantasy with nephilim with amazing powers. Even Nova, Ben and Zeph are in it to give it continuity.

The book Edward is about learning who you are. Edward has had a rough military style life. Now he is working with “The Rogues” on a mission he finds himself caring about. Where Ibria was about the company and work as a military organization, the Rogues are family to each other. He realizes the difference between them and what he really needs. It’s a very different Edward we see.

Great characters, exceptional character switch, absorbing story and now, for the second time, I have to wait until the author finishes writing the next book. Absolutely hate it.

This book was ok, but not nearly as good as the part 1. I found too many characters kind of randomly described. The plot was predictable and it really did not seem like the two had been written by the same person.

Not quite as good as the first book, and not memorable. I recently read it but it makes no impression now. I'll probably read follow ups. I wish they'd come available before I forget what happened, which I already did.

First, I have to say I wondered how I could possibly enjoy a book that was about Edward, a character who's far from likable in the first book, but the story was so good in the first book that I absolutely HAD to read this one, regardless of whose perspective it was from.

And...let me tell you, it was well worth it. Far from being a villain, Edward is quite a complex character, with his own insecurities and a level of indoctrination in a set of strange, alien values that comes through all of his thought processes. You can't help but feel sorry for the bloke and empathise with him as the story progresses.

Well worth a read, as I went straight from this to the next book in the series, eager for more. Five stars.
