About the author

I was born and raised in North Yorkshire in the North East of England with three older brothers. From the age of seven, I became a member of my local library, and was backwards and forwards perusing the children’s section at least twice a week. I still live in my birth town with my son and daughter, and their respective families being in close proximity.
Having worked in accounts offices since leaving school, I passed my accountancy qualifications when my children were very young and have now spent over thirty years of my working life as a company accountant.
I have always been interested in writing and have written many poems and some short stories over the years. I started writing seriously in 2014 when I completed the book 1 of the erotic Goings On series. Book 2 followed in 2015. These two books have now been revamped and given new titles, ‘The Hurt’ and ‘The Healing’. Book 3 is completed and will soon be released as ‘The Scars’. Being a reader of many genres of novels, I would also love to write a suspense thriller in the future, and possibly a comedy, which I would carry out under an alternative pseudonym,
I have many hobbies, which include playing badminton and going on long country walks. I have a keen interest in spiritualism/mediumship and have attended several workshops including some at the Arthur Findlay Spiritualist College at Stansted to develop my skills further.
I love nothing better than having fun with my youngest granddaughters. During quieter moments, I enjoy a cryptic crossword, sudoku, chess and gardening.
I adore travel. Having visited most of the countries in Europe, I aim on seeing as much of the rest of the world as I can. I have been to the US, Canada, Barbados, Mexico, Cuba, Singapore, Bali, Vietnam, and of the African Countries, I have visited Tunisia and Egypt! There is still lots to see and do, but the next thing on my list is to visit the Great Wall of China and the Terracotta Warriors!

- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2024I just finished the third book in the trilogy by Eva Bielby, and get your tissues ready, because it was well worth waiting for! In fact, I’m going back to the beginning, on page one of book one, and I’m going to read all three books again. Yes, it’s that good! The Scars - the perfect ending to all three books in the series. LOVED it and I highly recommend this trilogy to everyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Third.
The first two were fantastic reads but the third was something else. Helen lives life on the edge all the time which was nearly her down fall. The last few chapters are full of surprises and twists and the outcome is something else. Brilliant writing from Eva.
