In addition, she hosts a youtube channel Conversations for Change, has a website, also called Conversations for Change, and is the author of the Overcoming Emotional Abuse series and Good News for Victims of Rape: Biblical Counsel for Women

    This devotional gently encourages the emotionally abused person to find hope in the Redeemer, step by step, through 40 days of thoughtful interactions with Scripture. Using simple illustrations, the author offers suggestions for Psalms to pray and reflection questions regarding each point she makes. A basic knowledge of biblical counseling will be helpful, but is not essential. This book may be used in a group or alongside counseling to enrich discussion and provide direction for those dealing with emotional abuse.

    I hesitated to buy this with just one review but felt like I needed it. After feeling abandoned by God in my abusive 16 year marriage, this has helped restore my faith. I am one week into this after having done Covert’s Emotional Abuse Workbook which I also recommend. I like the space for notes and Psalms each day.
