Marc Jedel writes humorous murder mysteries. Years in Silicon Valley marketing leadership positions honed his sense of humor and writing skills. Crafting fiction on the job was simply called emails, ads, and marketing collateral.

The publication of Marc’s first novel, Uncle and Ants, gave him permission to claim “author” as his job. This leads to much more interesting conversations with people than answering, “marketing.”

Like his character, Andy, from the Redwoods Country Mystery series, Marc continues to grow older and would prefer not to run a bed-and-breakfast inn when he retires. Like his character, Marty, from the Silicon Valley Mystery series, Marc now lives in Silicon Valley, works in high-tech, and enjoys bad puns. Like his characters Jonas and Elizabeth from the Ozarks Lake Mystery series, he grew up in the South and spent plenty of time in and around Arkansas. Like all his protagonists, Marc too has a dog, although his is neurotic, sweet, and small, with little appreciation for Marc’s humor.

    Ride along this three book series filled with oddball quirky characters, a sense of dry humor set in Arkansas that will keep you reading and guessing until the end.
    Newlyweds trek their way back home only to find themselves embraced with old friends, old school, and Trouble from day one.
    Southern charm, sweet secrets, the need for good coffee, explosives, fishing with red herrings in the Ozarks.

    I read all three of books in the series and loved them all. Expect the unexpected in all of the super fun books. All have a fresh approach to humorous, cozy mysteries. The stories have all of the elements of the great cozy mystery - the romance of a newlywed couple, the secrets of a small town and the double-edged sweetness of southern charm. I enjoyed meeting the cast of credible suspects, and could envision every page-turning step through the woods to grandmother's house in the Ozarks Mountains. I'm glad I trusted my instinct to read the book with the beautiful cover and cute dog. Like any good sidekick in a mystery, Daisy is not just there to be sweet companion. The author carefully hid clues in plain sight and kept me guessing until the very end with a fantastic surprise ending. Jedel's other books--Silicon Valley Mystery series and Rivers and Creeks--have the light hearted, humorous approach that make for all of them a great read.

    Great cozy series has humor, excitement and small-town southern atmosphere (set in Arkansas) with no offensive language or graphic sex.
    Book 1 introduces Jonas, Elizabeth and Mary, along with a delightful cast of quirky characters. Excellent mystery had me guessing to the end.
    Book 2 has explosions, (maybe) Mafia, arrested bestie, bake sale theft, outhouse races and a Bean Festival. A rollicking good time!
    Book 3 has greedy gem hunters, fossil fanatics and shady scammers, along with Elizabeth’s absentee father appearing and being suspected of murder. Another fun ride!
    I love this series and recommend it as a clean, humorous, cozy good time.

    If you are looking for a fun and easy read, with lots of twists and intrigue, this series is for you. I love the development of the characters and their relationships. You really feel like. you get to know them. Jedel has truly captured the small town setting and all of the quirks that go along with that.

    Another fun series. Marc's books are always entertaining and quick reads when you have some time to spare and just want to get lost in all of his characters' crazy antics! I have read all his books and always look forward to his new releases.

    This is a cozy mystery series set in the Ozarks. Lots of fun characters and good mysteries. I really enjoy getting to know all of the town characters in addition to the main married couple.

    The Ozark mystery Fish Out of Water was an absolute page turner. Kept me guessing. Characters are likeable and entertaining. The author weaves family secrets, career transitions, love interests, tech gadgets and more into this story. Highly recommend it. Will be digging into the next two in the Ozark set soon.
