One Night Hand Stand Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 152 ratings

Who accidentally has a one-night stand with her yoga instructor?

Yep. Me.

How did I accidentally sleep with someone, right? I know what you’re thinking. Whoops! I slipped and inadvertently inserted Tab A into Slot B.

That’s not quite how it went.

But my yoga instructor is really, really skilled with Tab A, if you know what I mean.

Slot B never had it so good.

What am I supposed to do now, as I walk into my yoga class and find the guy I ghosted this morning… there, in front of the class, perfectly aligned and grinning at me like he remembers touching all my chakras.

He's perfect. Too perfect. He's so perfect he's ruining my job.

I'm an investigative reporter, working on spec for an article for a national magazine, and my job is to find all the ways this yoga chain is corrupt.

The only thing criminal here is that I can't have him in Slot B ever again. And I would. I'd turn myself into a paper doll book if that's what it took for more of that action.

I want him. He wants me. Nothing I do will make him back off because the chemistry is off the charts.

Except for one pesky little thing:

We’re at cross-purposes.

I need my exposé to get the job of my dreams. He needs to sell his stake in the yoga chain before I expose the corrupt current owner.

That makes him my enemy. My nemesis. The guy I have to get around to get ahead.

And now we’re supposed to hate each other.

But who ever let that get in the way of love?

Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 4 New York Times bestsellers and more than 21 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French and German, with more titles releasing in the future.

From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. One Night (Hand) Stand- Julia Kent Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Narration 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 This book was so good. This was my first Julia Kent book and when I saw it was an Eastmoor narration, I jumped at the opportunity to listen to this. I loved the banter between Sarah and Chase, or Tab A and Slot B. 😂😂 seriously this book had me cracking up the whole time, even during the serious bits. I’m not usually into the instalove trope but the way it’s done here, you can barely tell that majority of the events that happened were all within 3 days. Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor…the dream team. They both did so incredible during this dual narration, as always. As I mentioned earlier, I didn’t even hesitate to sign up for this one, even with an already full schedule, simply because it was Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor. They could read the dictionary to be and I’d be satisfied. 😂😂

Sarah and her girlfriends having drinks while Case is out with his friends playing pool, same bar great times, get even better when she has her third glass of wine, bolder, braver, their weird and wild three day relationship is off the charts steamier and sexier than either has had, until it's not, lies of omission, half truths, hurtful words coming out, when her investigation into his business partner so to speak leads to corruption and harassment, money laundering, everything you want in a feel great story, Julia Kent has done it again people, thank you, Dana Zamora

Case and Sarah have a blazing one night stand thanks to a third glass of wine.
The connection is quick and fierce between them. Decidedly not a one night thing.

But as they get closer, guilt works on them because of lies of omission.

This one is hot and so funny that people will look at you wondering what you are reading. Tell them! Julia Kent never lets you down when it comes to romance and heat with a side of rib-shaking laughs.

When it comes to romantic comedies that are anything but run-of-the-mill, I know that I can always count on Julia Kent to deliver, and boy, has she delivered. One Night (Hand) Stand is Kent's newest novel--and it may or may not be the first a new series I believe is called Get What You Need. I realize how confusing that sounds, but I'm honestly not sure if this is to remain a standalone--and by standalone, I mean not part of a series--or if it's a series starter. That being said, this is an absolute must-read, especially if you're in the market for something more than the usual rom-com fare with outstanding writing to boot.

One night stands are supposed to be casual and uncomplicated. Sarah Gorenta, however, has just realized that not all one night stands are made equally. The sex with the guy she called Mr. Never Mind was mind-blowing, but finding out that her yoga teacher and her one night stand were the same person has her gobsmacked. After all, Sarah wasn't taking yoga for slaps and tickles. She was an investigative reporter sniffing out a story about corruption with the yoga chain that Casey Willingham is part of. That means there can be no sexy shenanigan-y repeats, but tell that to Sarah and Case who want even more.

I laughed a heck of a lot more than I thought possible while reading this book, and you certainly won't hear me complaining. Yes, the romance was there in spades, but this is a romantic comedy, after all, and finding a book in this genre that has actually made me laugh out loud--and often--is far rarer than you would think. Sarah and Case had things to overcome, especially there was a bit of deception going on with them both, but these two deserved that happy ending. One Night (Hand) Stand was a five-starred read, and I hope we do get a series because of certain supporting characters (I'm looking at you, Jared!).

One Night (Hand) Stand ~Get What You Need #1 by Julia Kent

    Blurb:
Who accidentally has a one-night stand with her yoga instructor? Yep. Me.

    Simply...Brilliant!

A favourite author of mine, Julia has pulled out yet another fabulous, hilarious romantic comedy in One Night (Hand) Stand :)

When Julia releases a new book I know that I will be in possession of a brilliant story, that it will have new characters, to get to know and love. The locations are real places,(I googled them) and found it helped me in picturing where the story is set. The storyline will be written extremely well, and easy to follow. The way Julia writes, with all her descriptive writing, brings it all to life. I felt that I was actually there on Sarah and Case's journey.

The book starts with a One Night Stand, Case knew who she was but she didn't know him until the morning after, when she turned up for a Yoga class. Both hold back a lie, she is doing a story on the company and when the story comes out it will change everything. Both have worked hard for.

One Night (Hand) Stand is amazing with strong characters, a strong storyline, and LOL moments, it's Steamy, romantic and highly addictive, you wouldn't want to put the book down.
I highly recommend this book to all, and I believe it needs more than 5*.

One Night (Hand) Stand was going to be a standalone, but Case's widowed brother-in-law has got in her head and wants his own story...watch this space for book 2.

    Julia, Thank you :)

    Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Easy-to-read, Entertaining, Funny, Happily Ever After, Page-turner, Romantic, Realistic, Steamy, Witty, and Wonderful characters

One Night Hand Stand is a one night stand romance turned happily ever after with some bumps in the road. Sarah finds out the man she just spent the night with is her new yoga instructor and also the person she investigating for her corruption article. The banter between these Sarah and Case was so much fun and I loved seeing these two communicate with each other when they finally reveal their secrets to each other. I enjoyed this book, it was funny and will also hit you in the feels.

Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East perform this book in dual narration. I loved hearing this duo back together. They did amazing at bringing the banter between these characters to life and also the struggles they had with keeping secrets from each other. I loved both of there performances.

After a fun night out with her friends, Sarah has a one night stand and she plans to complete forget Mr. Never Mind ever existed . That is until she shows up to her new yoga class that she is starting to investigate and Mr. Never Mind aka Case, is her yoga teacher and the owner of all the yoga studios under this chain . Case may be sweet and charming but he loves to have endless banter when it comes to the hilarious Sarah and the mistaken identity crisis they are both currently facing . Not to mention there are so many plot twists, turns and things you will never see coming to keep you on your toes the whole time !

This audiobook can be listened to as a complete stand alone .

5.0 out of 5 stars Tab A is the best

And again, Julia Kent excels herself.
I love love love this book 💖
The opening is brilliant. A one night stand with Mr Never Mind. Two singles both stepping out of their comfort zone, Tab A and Slot B finding happiness.
But all is not as it seems, it never is, and there would be no fun without it.
Sarah and Case are captivating characters. Both have their focus, their passion, and their demons.
Sarah is writing the article of her life, vying for the job she has always wanted and rooting out corruption.
Case is so close to securing his and his family's future, selling his business to gain the financial freedom he has dreamed of.
Sarah breaks her two drink rules, and Case can't resist her charm. They instantly click, and a wild night ensues. Sarah had no idea who Case is until she turns up to her yoga class the following morning, and there he is leading the class. Can she resist his charm, does she want to. Can she tell him who she really is or can she keep quiet and enjoy the ride.
I love these characters. They are beautifully written with great care and attention to detail. The story is enchanting. The supporting cast is more than just filter. And I need to know more about this world they all inhibit.
I highly recommend this book and author.
    You won't regret it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun rom com with a hot male yoga instructor?? Yes, please.

I love Julia Kent (her Random series is one of my all time favourites) and I read a couple of snippets of this story when the idea was just being conceived. I loved it so much I pre-ordered the book as soon as I could. Unfortunately, I didn't love it as much as I thought I would. It could have been the mood I was in, but parts of the story felt a little lackluster in comparison to other books I've read by Julia. This was a fun rom com with a very different premise that had loads of swoony moments, hot spicy moments plus a great friend group and most people will absolutely love it - my expectations were probably too high, so please don't let me put you off reading it.

Loved this story of a one night stand that turned into a real relationship. Case and Sarah were not telling the truth to each other, so when this blew up in their face they thought their relationship was over. Luckily Case realised it was important so decided to track Sarah down and find a way to reconcile differences it made a great start to their relationship which then blossomed into a loving and steadfast commitment.
