Saint Mottsommer Cove is an inward looking town on the south coast of England. It doesn't welcome visitors and because of this decided to enter a twinning arrangement with itself - there are grants for such things, why not take advantage? Mottsommer is populated by heathens, pagans. It has hauntings, burials at sea that go wrong and hypnotic therapy sessions in the 'The Crab Catcher's Remedy' where vicar Harris Twill reveals more than he would like. The town council is corrupt and somebody or bodies have their snouts in the trough. Mottsommer town-folk have had enough and decide to act.
