Reaper is captain of the Drago Deiance MC deep undercover for twelve years to bring down human traffickers in the motorcycle club. Jinx lost her parents when she was sixteen.     4 1/2 stars. Jinx and Reaper crashed together. There was plenty of action, steamy scenes, secrets, and danger to push them apart and together. Reaper was undercover, but he grew to enjoy the MC life and family. He knew that Jinx and the Handmaiden's were working to stop trafficking, but there were threats from outside places. Their quick stop in Pandora went very wrong, but they were able to survive, though they ended up apart because of the threats toward Jinx. I will be reading Rattled to see how it all turns out.

    What a page turner! A must read! Right from the beginning River “Jinx” proved to be one strong and independent woman. She’s an artist and races. Klay “Reaper” is on an undercover mission. When he first lays eyes on River, he knew he wanted her. When they meet, Reaper really felt something for River, and maybe he could have a real connection with her. Their connection starts to heat up when they are on lockdown for 24 hours. The sparks start flying. Reaper vows to protect River from Snake and Crazy. Reaper and River do something so unexpected to keep River safe. Wait til you find out! Will they be able to come out of lock down unscathed? What will happen to these two in the end? Will they stay married? The end definitely shocked me and I’m sure it will shock you also!

    What a great start to River and Reaper’s story. This quick read is basically a prequel to their story. A story involving an undercover ATF agent, Reaper, the Alaska Chapter of the Devil’s Handmaidens road captain and a 100 year old curse that seems to be intertwined in their lives.

    I don’t do spoilers so I can’t give much away. I'll simply say this is a heck of a thrilling start to their story and this reader can’t wait for its conclusion. I highly recommend grabbing up this short story and enjoying it while waiting on Rattled, the conclusion of their story coming in a few short weeks.

    This is a page turner that just takes off running from page one. I was engrossed with the storyline and how everything progressed. I also liked that instant connection between the main characters. I also liked that the situation they were put into started out as a forced proximity kind of thing but ended up turning into something more. Secrets, truth, action, chemistry, intrigue, and more. I cannot wait to find out what's coming next or how this is going to all end up. I just couldn't get enough of this book and wanted more.

    This book is related to the Devil’s Handmaiden MC: Alaska Chapter series. Reaper lives his life on a delicate balance. He is deep undercover in the Drago Defiance MC. He likes his life that is until he sees her. River/Jinx lives for the sisters in her club especially her best friend. Then she gets mixed up with something going side ways related to racing for the club. He can’t help himself. He needs to protect her. He will do whatever it takes to do that. They find themselves locked down in a small town. River found some gem on the ground and the whole town says it is a cursed item. Reaper doesn’t believe it but as the weekend progresses maybe they are cursed now. River can’t believe the situation she finds herself in. Reaper bonded himself to River when he saw the chance to keep her forever. She thinks he only did it to protect her and then he disappears. River is free now. She had no clue one weekend would change her whole life. What does she do now? River wants to protect Reaper even if she doesn’t know where he is or if he will ever come back for her. This book was a fantastic read. I can’t wait to read the next book. This book can be read before or after Wrecked. But I think before might be better. Wonderful job E.M. Shue. These characters are fantastic and I eager for the stories.
