The One Month Boyfriend: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romance (Wildwood Society Romance Book 1) Kindle Edition
Fake dating my sworn enemy to make my ex so jealous he can't see straight?
Worth it.
Silas and I agree on one thing, and one thing only: my ruthless, heartless, narcissistic jerk of an ex-fiancé needs to be taken down a notch.
So we do what anyone would do: we pretend to be a couple.
Even though Silas and I are polar opposites. Silas is a loud, cheerful, over the top showboat. He’s his hometown’s golden boy, the Marine who came back to rescue kittens from trees and walk old ladies across the street.
And me? I'm the awkward new girl who freezes up around strangers and can’t make small talk to save my life.
It shouldn’t work. We can barely have a conversation without arguing. There's no way we should be friends, let alone dating, except... Everyone believes it.
Especially my ex.
Now I'm having way too many real fantasies about the man who gets on my last nerve. My fake boyfriend is starting to feel a whole lot like a real one.
The kisses feel real.
The way he protects me feels real.
The night we spend together in a hotel bed feels very real.
This was supposed to be fake, but I think I might have fooled myself most of all.
The One Month Boyfriend is the first book in the Wildwood Society series, and can be read as a total standalone. It's for fans of high heat enemies-to-lovers romantic comedies, and features two enemies who fake date for revenge, a quirky, charming small town, a former military cinnamon roll hero, a grumpy heroine who's charmed despite herself, anxiety and PTSD representation, and plenty of steamy scenes. Of course, there's an HEA.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2025This kind of story is definitely my kryptonite. Believable broken people loving other broken people. The love story is also believable. The spice was wonderful. This is a new to me author and I will be reading more. This author was rock solid IMO.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2025I’m not usually into small town settings but I really liked this book. Ex-military, charming mmc dealing with PTSD. Anxious and “sharp edged” but deeply caring fmc in a fake dating situation. The banter between characters was funny and engaging and I thought the author did a nice job of addressing mental health issues in a realistic and big heart kind of way. A good amount of spice and chemistry, low angst, great story, and good writing. I think that if you like Tessa Bailey or Chelsea Curto you’ll like this book a lot too!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2024Kat and Silas have a mutual dislike for each other. They have a shared history that neither wants to let go of. When circumstances throw them together they quickly learn they have more in common that they expected. What starts as a way to get nosey coworkers and lying ex fiancé’s off their backs turns into so much more.
This book gets enemy to lovers right. When Kat and Silas initially ent3er their month long arrangement they have some pretty deep rooted opinions about the other. Those around them do not think they will be able to last the month in a fake relationship. Their friends do not realize how determined they are to succeed. As they spend more time together the learn each had misconceptions about the other. They start to see each other at their most vulnerable. Once the walls come down and they start being open and honest they see how compatible they really are.
One major point I loved it how the issues of PTSD, Anxiety, and panic attacks were handled. Each is something a character deals with throughout the book. Each is handled in a realistic and non judgmental way. The emotions on the page are deep and real. Sprinkled throughout is fun and silly side characters.
I am loving this Wildwood series. It’s such a vibrant and fun small town I wish I could visit. I am excited to read more from this town.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2025I really liked this story but the language was really hard to get past. Definitely had to skip some pages. I really liked how the storyline developed as you got to know the characters.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2025This is book one in the Wildwood Society series but it was the second book that I read. With that being said, I don't think much was mentioned about the other guys in The Two Week Roommate so there were no real spoilers.
I liked this story a lot. Silas and Kat were a great couple and this book is exactly how I like my enemies to lovers romance. There was a clear reason for their dislike that actually requires them both to get over the past if they want to help each other out.
This was a really fun contemporary romance despite some of the heavier issues it tackled such as PTSD, anxiety and veterans returning to society. They both came with baggage and they were both trying to cope with it in their own way, which actually helped them reach a level of understanding. Some of the situations they found themselves in were just downright funny and I smiled like a fool one moment, sucked right into steam the next, and going awww right after that.
The story was fun and engaging with just the right amount of steam. I could've used a bit more revenge but overall I'm glad I read this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2024What an enjoyable book!
After first impressions of the FMC and MMC, I thought it would take some talented and creative writing to make me like and support them. And, yep, that's just what Ms. Noir provided. The character growth was folded into an engaging story and never came across as forced or contrived.
The pacing of the book kept me involved from beginning to end without lagging. I fell asleep with this book open on my laptop and continued upon waking. It's been a long time since a story and characters keep that kind of attention. Thank you, Ms. Noir, for a truly rewarding read.

POV: Silas, Kat

Lovers of Roxie Noir’s Loveless Brothers series have met Silas before. I think several years before this story. Only cameo is really Levi and Silas’s sister June (who have their own story). All that to say I’ve been dying for Silas’s story which I had to wait for (Write faster Roxie Noir!) but then didn’t get a chance to read when it first came out (too many books, not enough hours in the day).
I enjoyed getting to know Silas better and I loved Kat for him. Also shoutout to Roxie Noir representing invisible disabilities including anxiety and PTSD in this book and effectively helping people through the hard times.
It took me a little bit to fall in love with Kat for Silas but once I did I couldn’t put this book down, reminding me why Roxie Noir is in my top ten authors. I loved the back and forth between Kat and Silas and how they simultaneously pushed each other out of their comfort zones while supporting each other’s limits. Another great book from Roxie Noir i look forward to reading more of this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2025Enemies-to-lovers with awesome dialogue, a killer plot, drama, spice, and real life lessons.
Kat and Silas have a past, and tons in common if they'd just get over themselves. Sadly, someone's got a big mouth, and it's gonna cause a whole lotta trouble.
Things calm down, then BAM! Someone disappears. A few cliffhangers, but there's another book. You don't *need* it for closure, but you won't get all the answers.

5.0 out of 5 stars always a great pleasure to read
Dealing with anxiety and trauma is a theme running through this story. Of two people helping each other and learning to know each. Loved Silas and Kat. Eventually they became a great team but they have to go through much to see the potential in each other.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very well written, great eye for details and character development (including anxiety & PTSD)
I read a lot (like one book per night basically), but rarely leave a review. I had to with this one. It has everything and more I look for in a book with this topic:
~ characters with depth and evolution
~ a strong enemies-to-lovers-arc with comprehensible development
~ steamy well written sex scenes
~ generally, the growing slow burn attraction is written with a great eye for details
I am absolutely loving it!
The best and most interesting aspect in this story is the handling of anxiety and PTSD (I cannot speak about PTSD, but am familiar with anxiety) and how Roxie Noir has incorporated it in the characters, their and their relationship’s development. It adds a depth I never found in a book like this before. Yes, those scenes can be a little uncomfortable but reading them was always worth it imo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! Deep and beautiful
I don't think I have ever read anything so beautiful with so many human flaws beautifully described. One of the few books where I couldn't really guess the plot.
