OUT OF BOUNDS is a standalone read with a happy ending. There is lots and lots of very descriptive sexy scenes and colorful language if that is an issue for you. This is definitely not the book for you if you don't care for sexy reads.

The story is set in Seattle where Zoe, 29, a lawyer with her own practice has a contract with the local pro soccer team. There are a few players from the UK that have been signed to play in the American league. There is not a lot of soccer action, this is about the players. Zoe finds herself very attracted to one of the players. A big, friendly, flirty player. Ethan is a great guy, just not interested in anything permanent but still loves the ladies, just for short periods of time. Zoe is uncertain whether to get involved or not.

Then there is Ethan. He is all that and a lot more. He is one very sexy guy. Next to soccer, sex is his next favorite entertainment. He gets in a spot of trouble that was definitely not his fault but discovers he needs professional help from Zoe. He finds himself in a new emotional place. He really likes her but she is his attorney and that would be a no-no.

This book is filled with these two discovering each other in every way. It is a little bit of lessons in law as well as discovering love. It is a good read and I do recommend it. Ms. McCoy always writes an interesting and fun read.

Delightfully evil attorney of other client. Enjoyed the story content. It was 40% or more description of their sexual encounters. I read a couple of the early ones and then just skimmed for any story content in the rest.

Ethan is on the Seattle Stars professional soccer team, or football team, as Ethan and his other British teammates know it. After inadvertently getting caught in a bar room scuffle he finds himself at the police department at 1:30 AM waiting to sort things out. When the attorney the team has on retainer arrives, he explains to her that he actually walked into the middle of a fight, got caught by a flying fist and reacted before he could think about it. Zoe, said attorney, will represent him legally but tells him to stay out of trouble. The only problem is Ethan’s heart is already in trouble where Zoe is concerned. The kiss he stole weeks ago was all it took for her to get under hiss skin and Ethan is determined to not let Zoe go again.

These characters quickly got under my skin, as well. Ethan is all movie star good looks, sexy British accent and cocky insouciance, and Zoe is buttoned up, bright, and confident and doesn’t realize the depth of her beauty. The interplay between the two is sassy, sexy and hilarious, their chemistry is off the charts, and their tenderness and vulnerability is endearing. The advance copy I read is my first book by this author and I completely adored it! The writing is exceptional – witty, provocative, entertaining and heartfelt. The book is professionally edited, and the author does an amazing job of setting the scene and carrying it through while bringing the characters vividly to life. I actually heard Ethan’s British accent as I read! The characters are captivating, the storyline is engaging, and the road to forever love is compelling and satisfying. I will definitely be reading more from this author and wholeheartedly recommend this book!

The thing I love about J. H. Croix's books is that they are truly spellbinding, whether they take place in Alaska, Maine or in Seattle. I have read all of J. H. Croix's books and she never ceases to amaze me with the reality of her writing.

In book 3 of the Brit Boys series Ethan meets his match in prim and proper attorney Zoe. Ethan is a player but once he sets his sights on Zoe the game is on and he wants her like nothing he's ever felt before. Zoe gets flustered by just being in close proximity of Ethan but it can't come of anything because it's unethical to have a relationship with a client, unless that kiss counts as being involved before she has to represent him. With encouragement and lots of pushing from best friend and paralegal Jana, Zoe gives in to Ethan after blurting out she is a virgin. The wacky friendship between Zoe and Jana will leave you laughing from their antics. As Zoe and Ethan come to term with their feelings for each other, Zoe panics and pushes Ethan away and gets him another attorney because of their relationship and threats from another attorney. Will Ethan be able to convince Zoe they belong together or will Zoe's insecurities get the best of her??

I highly recommend this book as well as any written by J. H. Croix. The characters and their feelings are as real as the blue sky. This book can be read as a standalone but you will appreciate the characters more by reading all the books in the series. Even though I received an ARC of this book and others I also purchase copies of them. It was good to visit characters from previous books and meet new ones. I can't wait to see what is in store for Tristan, Ethan's roommate and teammate.

The h is contracted by the Seattle Stars soccer team on an as needed basis attorney. She's 29 years old, a virgin, and dedicated
to her job.

They both are attracted to the other but it's the H who decides to
pursue the h. They're both only looking for something casual until
feelings start becoming involved.

The book was ok but not good enough to recommend to a friend.
I never got bored but did skim over the love scenes, just trying to finish the book faster. Again, it is good enough to read once but not enough to recommend.
