    What a lovely and romantic story! Whether you are getting an early start on the holiday season or just want to read a very well written romance, you must snuggle into this page turner! Set in 1921 in British Columbia, this is the tale of a young woman at a crossroads in life. Lydia is rebounding from losing both parents and has come to live with her great Aunt Grace. She’s hoping to find love and support with her aunt and begin to build her future. But things don’t go the way Lydia desired and soon she finds herself completely alone, financially ruined, and quickly losing hope. As backs turn on her from all sides, one person turns toward her and is willing to help her both practically and emotionally. But this handsome man’s help does not come without a cost. Will Lydia be willing, even eager to pay?
    Ms. Campbell is a terrific author who never fails to turn a great tale. One of my favorite things about the author is her ability to describe whatever world she has chosen in which to set her story, and to do so in wonderful and complete details. And here again, she more than succeeds. I feel like I’m walking the same streets as Lydia, meeting the same people and experiencing the same smells and sounds. If I were an artist I could paint Aunt Grace’s library just from the author’s description of the layers of charming and time appropriate details. Everything about this story is fresh and new to me. I adore the location, the romance, the bit of spice with the hint of much more to come, and most of all the blossoming of a young woman into a confident, hopeful, and kind partner to Pierre. Everyone deserves a gift, so gift yourself this charming novella that you will read over and over!

    Lydia finds herself in financial trouble and everyone turns away from her. But Pierre a friend wants to help her but she has to be willing to listen! As they work together she has to learn a few things but is the better for it as they begin to have feelings for each other. Will they get a happily ever after for Christmas? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

    This is a beautiful Christmas story for Lydia and Pierre. Lydia's parents died and she went to live with her Aunt Frace who died several days after she arrived. She was left homeless, penniless, and near ruin. Then Aunt Grace's friend Pierre came to see her. Will she be able to let him help her? Please read this spanking book to find out. I received this book to read as An Advanced Reader to leave an honest review. Five star book and Author!

    I didn’t know I was ready for a holiday story until I read this book. I love Christmas books. It puts me in the spirit. Add a little sexiness and over the knee action, and that’s the best kind of gift to me! Lydia loses her only family and town support. But family friend Pierre comes in to save the day, in more way than one. It was a great read, any time of the year, but especially fun for Christmas ❤️💚

    A wonderful holiday story about finding your new family. Lydia finds out what it is like to lose her only living relative and be shunned by society in 1921. A family friend steps in and shows her that no everything is as it seems and she gains more than she could ever dream of. Tragedy, mystery, betrayal, lust, and love make this a great holiday read.

    Lydia has lost everyone in her life and now believes she is destitute as well. In steps Perrie, her great aunts dear friend. Lydia realizes she has deep feelings for him. While this is mostly a love story, Libby write well developed characters with backstorys and personalities. The book switch seamlessly from one characters perspective to the next.

    A must read. Well thought out characters , though it moves a little fast you can see how they could care for each other that quickly. It deals with how petty people can be and its nice to see her triumph over people looking down on her. I sat down and read the book in one sitting .
