This is a fantastic motorcycle club romance and start to the “Savage Angels MC” series. Kathleen Kelly is a new to me author but being a fan of both rockstar and MC romance novels, I knew I was going to love it, which I did. The story is original with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and root for too. Katarina Saunders, the lead singer for “The Grinders” a popular and successful rock band who has a huge following. But after breaking up with her boyfriend, Gareth Goodman, who was a tool, she takes off in his car and narrowly misses hitting someone in the street only to crash into a tree. The accident was a life changer for her and at 28 years old she needs to reinvent herself and find something else that will make her happy. Her mother had passed away and left her the house, so she moves there to stay off the grid for a while. She had not been home for years and she learns things about her mother and realizes she did not know her very well, especially her relationship with her neighbor, Dane Reynolds, the president of the Savage Angels MC. The two hit it off, and he brings her back to his house to meet some of the club members. Dane knew who Kat was, her mom spoke of her often and he had his eye on her for a while and decided it was time to make her his. And when things go south for her, it is he who protects her and vows to keep her safe. This fast-paced and action-packed story has plenty of drama, angst, mystery, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The world building and character development is fantastic, and it was great to meet Kat’s manager and band members and the members of the MC. Kathleen Kelly, thank you for this awesome story and the wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Scarlett Everdeen and Bryant Walker were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Scarlett Everdeen nailed it as Kat grasping every side of her personality, and Bryant Walker did the same with Dane, a swoon worthy alpha biker boss. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story and captured all the character’s emotions which were heard in their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen.

This story is mostly about Kat & Dane, a former rock star who loses part of herself in an accident, and the president of a going-mostly-straight MC. Dane was friends w/ Kat's mom, they were neighbors, and her mom was sort of like a den-mother to the MC. A den-mother with SECRETS! Kat had no idea what her mom was involved in. Actually, most of the MC had no idea what her mom was involved in, to a point... This made for an interesting twist, in that while Dane & Kat are getting to know each other, he's also kinda helping her get to know her mom, who has passed away, also.

I really enjoyed the story as a whole - there is a lot of alpha-male going on. I love the character of Dane! There's some intrigue & a lot to the story. A lot of the characters in the book get 1st person POV chapters, as well - we see a bit from the MC & band members' POV. I'm on the fence a bit about this. Some of those chapters I really enjoyed, and some seemed a bit of filler - like, WHY are we reading a whole chapter of this hot hook up between one of her band mates & one of his MC brothers? Just for the extra sex scenes? (Also, the first few sexy times between Dane & Kat didn't really make me feel connected to their story - I was actually a little annoyed by them. They get better, however, and I think it's because as THEIR connection grows, the sex scenes get more invested.)

So, all in all, I enjoyed the story & am intrigued by the plot to book 2. I REALLY liked the interactions between the band & the MC, individually & together. That's some good writing! : )

This is a wonderful "escape book" for me. It pulled me right into the MC world. I love the characters and the fact that we were introduced a bit to each of them. The characters all have grit and loyalty. I dislike graphic sex scenes, but I could easily skip those pages. There was some suspense, some fun, and a solid story line through the whole book with a happy ending.

Wow, I could not put down this book and spent a couple nights reading into the wee hours. Dane is a dirty mouthed, alpha biker and is perfect for the dirty mouthed Rock goddess Kat. Even though life threw everything at these two, they showed they could handle any and all comers who wanted to bring them down. Kathleen, you threw a few hints our way and even a few non-hints (you're good hun, had me changing villains a few times), I almost thought I was reading another story with a cliffhanger but I was pleasantly surprised that you gave us a full story...even with a few questions as to the future. You won't regret reading this fantastic story!!!!!

Someone's stalking kat and that doesn't go down well with this group of Alpha males, Dane is protective of Kat and like any m.c they protect what's theirs.

Fast paced with good plot so you just want to keep turning the pages to see what happens.

Loved the pov from each character it gave you a chance to get into the head of each character it was different I liked that.

This book is a combination of an MC book and a rocker book. It's not a combination that I have seen before and it certainly made for an interesting read.

This book is written in multiple pov's and for a while it is very difficult to get used to this. I have read a book with a few but this book, every chapter is by a different character. Very unusual for an MC book.

I liked the storyline and characters, they were easy to relate to and get into. I fell completely in love with Dane and Kat was a woman that I enjoy reading about. Strong and feisty!

Yes I will admit there is a few minor errors, I generally overlook these as I am used to reading uncorrected arcs. However I don't expect to see these in published books.

I really enjoyed this book though, it kept me interested and wanting more and I did dive immediately into the next one.
