I have only read one or two books by Kathleen Kelly so I wasn't sure what to expect but what I got really won me over and now she has gained another faithful reader because I absolutely loved her writing. The storyline was one that had me engrossed from the beginning to see what all will happen, the relationship that builds between Eric/Maddox and Cherie, the grumpy old grandpa and the brothers he left to protect.
The chemistry between the two main characters was undeniable but what kind of relationship can be built on lies. The past comes knocking and will have you on the edge of your seat with the suspense, action and truths that are revealed. I can't wait for the rest of the brothers' stories as well!!

Its got all the feel's.😍 Its got five hot brother's who are all different in there own way yet bound together by love of family, and devastating loss .
Throw in a corrupt millionaire ceo bombs , dirty FBI agents witness protection, a grumpy old coote who loves his granddaughter Cherie and one hot as sin MacKenny brother Eric aka Maddock his five brother's and their MC and you get lots of sass a few laughs a kidnapping or two and eventually a happy ever after. I'm so looking forward to reading the next book in the MacKenny brother's series which will be Maddocks brother Sean I've already told Kathleen Kelly I call dibs on Sean I've licked him so he is mine ok. lol. but seriously read this book! If you have read any books by Kathleen Kelly you already know your in for a treat.

    This was a good read. The plot was good. Like Cherie said in this book: Whoever raised the MacKenney men, did it right. I fell in love with all of them. Especially, Sean.

    PLOT: Eric Hill / Maddock MacKenney, is living a life that is totally different, from where he came from. He’s gone from the city to a small country life. Compliments of the Witness Protection Program.

    After Maddock’s enemy (Lamond), takes away the most precious thing to the MacKenney brothers, Maddock has no choice but to let his family think that he is dead. At least, until the F.B.I. can get enough evidence against Lamond, to put him away for good.

    Maddock goes from being an Accountant, to a Mechanic. This is where he meets old man Mr. Lake (who’s a grouch). Mr. Lake also has a granddaughter (Cherie), that he wants Maddock to finish the repairs needed on an old mustang for her, as a gift to her.

    Cherie is a little shy when it comes to men. Her choice in men, hasn’t been the best. So, it takes her a while to warm up to Maddock’s charm and advances. Instead of Cherie falling head first in love…It’s Maddock instead. He’s determined to make Cherie his. But, there’s another brother vying for her attention too. Who will win Cherie’s heart? And how will the MacKenney brothers get their revenge???

After reading it, there’s no doubt in my mind that she deserves to be a bestselling author. I'm not typically a fan of the romance genre or books where romance drives the plot, but Spark proves that there are exceptions to every rule. While I usually read thrillers involving motorcycle clubs, Kathleen’s unique approach to that trope

    I read Spark in one night; I just couldn’t put it down, not even to eat—which is impressive, considering I’m someone who lives to eat rather than eats to live. Kathleen has completely hooked me on the MacKenny Brothers, and I've already picked up the remaining books in the series.

    Maddox MacKenny had a good life until it literally blew up in his face. He finds himself hiding out in the mountains out west for three years as a protected witness. He's made no friends and misses his family terribly. One encounter with the beautiful Cherie turns this hermit into someone in search of companionship. Their relationship is barely off the ground when the people looking for him find him, as well as his brothers and things are non-stop from there.

    The MacKenny clan is an interesting bunch. The all have their strengths and use them accordingly. This was a quick, pretty good read that I look forward to continuing.

    I was pulled into it right from the start and stayed there watching it play out in my head until I had read the last word.
    There are some really great surprises in this book, I never saw them coming, but I enjoyed reading them. There are twists and turns throughout, that all help to make the story brilliant.
    I have never read a book by Kathleen Kelly that I have not enjoyed, I do have to admit she is one of my favourite authors and one I always one click. If you've never read a book by her you should give her a go, I don't think you will regret it.
    I highly recommend this book, it is so worth the rating I have given it.
