Peacekeeper was a great follow up to Legacy as the second book of the Montgomery Brothers series. Harrison and Laney's story was so good and full of emotions. Again, second-chance romances are so bittersweet for me but I'm always so happy when a couple can work things out. This series has so many amazing characters that I can't get enough of. I love the follow-up/check-ins we get with Ford and Harley. I'm also super excited to hear Jack's story and to read about the women that gets him to get his stuff together. Harrison is such an amazing and sweet guy. It was fun to read about how him and Laney challenge each other so we see a little bit of a different side of him (spoiler, he growls when jealous). Can't wait to hear more about them but as side characters to Jack's story!

    This one is about Harrison who gave up the love of his life, Laney. They became best friends when they were 5. As teenagers they experienced many firsts together. Laney also followed him to college in New York.

    Then they lost Mr Montgomery in a car accident. Harrison came home to finish school and be with his family. He knew his mom and brothers needed him. After conversations with his mom and Laney's mom he knew what he had to do. He had to let Laney go back to finish school. Even though it broke both their hearts.

    Now 5 years later Harrison finds out Laney is engaged. And it's killing him. Now Laney is heading home to help care for her mom as she was just diagnosed with cancer. The Montgomery family is interested in hiring her to help at the vineyard part time while she cares for her mom.

    But this puts her close to Harrison, and she vowed to stay away from him.

    Can Harrison win her back? He's determined to try! And he has the help of his brothers as well.

    So good. Love the continued interactions of the brothers. Jack makes me laugh so hard that I cry. Ready for him to get his bachelor butt handed to him in the next book.

    I definitely enjoyed this book, but after reading the first in the series there were definitely similarities to the outline of the story. So it was slightly predictable but still liked it.

    Between the two I’d pick the first one before this one for sure. However I will continue and read the third one - gotta find out about Jacks love story you know?
