    Lena is back and badder than ever. She's caught between the shifters and the vampires, trying to defuse a potential war, all while planning her daughter's 18th birthday party. Working to maintain a normal life for her daughter while avoiding repeated attempts on her life, Lena is determined to figure out who is trying to kill the vamps and start a war.

    This book is full of supernatural action, men (er....shifters) behaving badly and plenty of romance. The story moves at a rapid clip, pulling the reader into Lena's world. Populated with all manner of supernatural creatures including vampires, werewolves and werelions, these characters are relatable and realistic. Even though they're more than human, they are surprisingly civilized and sometimes vulnerable.

    As the attacks keep coming, Lena learns more about her powers and her limits. Faultlessly loyal to her friends, she'll do everything she can to defend them. Her protective instincts are backed up by amazing physical strength and legendary fighting skills. She is such a strong and well-written female lead. While she has her flaws and struggles with some of the decisions she has made, she is unapologetic in her strength. I can't wait to find out what happens next in the series.

    Five stars for this supernatural mystery.

    The Monster for Hire series is not the typical series from authors Lane Hart and D.B. West. At least not from what I have read of their books. I love their many nonstop action-packed MC series. I should have known that I would fall in love with their paranormal series. Monster Hunter for Hire: Power Hungry is the third book in the series and has tons of paranormal, supernatural action, drama, suspense, incessantly sexy romance, and a mystery about Lena, the protagonist in the series.

    The books in the series are not standalone. The ending of each book leads to the beginning of the next. In Power Hungry, we find Lena still battling feelings for Dominick, her vampire lover, and Henry, her BFF, and long-time fantasy lover. What that woman can do in a dream is what we all wish we could do in dreamland. Her daughter Emmery enters adulthood in this book and is pressing for more information on the identity of her father. I am sure there is more to come in future books as Lena comes closer to finding out who and what she is.

    In this installment of the series, there are many life or death moments and some heavy decisions. Relationships take unexpected turns, and there are some surprising twists. The end leaves you with your mouth hanging open and pulsing for the next book in the series, Sppokshow Baby! The title implies more than you think.

    I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Wow this story is getting soooooo good . 10 stars.Fantastic. Helena graves is a monster hunter who has a daughter emery . she is on a case with the police and trying to stop a war among the supernaturals while trying to protect her friends . I'm loving this series its another set of books I have to keep so I can read over and over.

    This is a non stop second addition to the Monster for Hire series. Lena and her men have so many twists in this part of their story. There is non-stop action, and love. I am excited to read the next installment of this series.

    His installment has some big twists thrown in for Dom, Helena, and Henry. More boundaries are crossed. Betrayals are huge and so very hurtful. Wolves and lions are both enemies out to get Lena. Deaths among the groups. Dom has big reveals that are profound and possibly very sad for some, himself included. Lena’s freakouts about Levi and Emery are kind of amusing, if over the top. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

    Power Hungry by L West a five-star read that you will quickly devour and leave you wanting more. This is number two in the Monster Hunter series, there is also a prequal that is worth reading first, so you get the whole tasty package. Helena Graves is a complex character, and one I struggled with in this story, there was just something that set me off kilter, but then just as I was despairing, boom ending of the year and leading us to what I am sure will be a phenomenal next story. There are so many great characters in this story, and I am so excited to find out what will be next. This is a story that will rock your heart, and then your soul.

    Will we finally get the true story of Helena and how she got to this place in her life? Loved this next step in the saga. Emery is turning 18 and is she exactly like her mom? What will happen between the vampires and the shifters? There is loads of mystery and intrigue in this book. Lena’s love life takes an unexpected and complicated turn. The wear wolves are angry and out for blood and Henry and the wear lions are right in the middle. Are the vampires to blame and are they stirring the pot? Lena balances on a fine line having relationships with all sides of this fight. Add in Cade to the rescue. I loved the small peak into his character. This book is action packed and keeps you wondering right up to the last page. The set up for the next installment is……..epic!
