4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 1,007 ratings

The next in the wonderfully warm and uplifting series set on Puddleduck Farm

How can life be too busy for love?

Phoebe Dashwood is living the dream. She’s running her own successful vet practice, Puddleduck Vets, alongside her grandmother’s animal sanctuary.

She’s also dating the gorgeous, yet slightly broken Rufus Holt, the most eligible bachelor in the New Forest.
So why isn’t she blissfully happy?

Both Phoebe and Rufus are consumed 24/7 by their own commitments. Their relationship is always last on the list.
Phoebe juggles quirky, yet demanding clients and their pets whilst widowed Rufus is consumed by his anxieties, responsibilities of fatherhood and the unenviable tasks of being a Lord in waiting with a huge estate to manage.

Phoebe knows that when you’re a vet, there isn’t always a happy ending. But will there be a happy ending for Phoebe, Rufus and everyone else at Puddleduck Farm?
Is it ever really possible to have it all?

What a great way to end this story. I like all the characters for their down to earth up brings, loyalty. I feel that there is a close bound with the characters like a family unit. I hope you enjoy this series as much as I have. As always happy reading

It was so lovely to catch up with Phoebe and her grandmother Maggie in this new instalment of the Puddleduck Farm series.

Phoebe is busier than ever with her career as the owner of a vet surgery. Really a little bit too busy to fit her boyfriend, Rufus, into her very limited spare time. He is also busy with his own career and is a single dad which doesn't help matters. This scenario is a common one for a lot of people so I was wondering how the author was going to resolve it.

Well, you won't get any spoilers from me. Just know that this is a modern love story but a sweet one.

I enjoyed the animal antics and the pet behaviourists were hilarious!

4.5 stars from me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books.

Phoebe and Rufus are trying to get closer together. Meanwhile, her business is getting super busy and Rufus is having a lot more to do with the family estate with his dad in poor health. A curve ball is thrown when Hugh shows back up.
Opinion
I really appreciate the simplicity of this story. It was really a great read when my life was completely overwhelming. I loved that I could sit and read a chapter a night when I was busy or read a hundred pages when I was not. Not once did I get bored with the story but rather kept it in the back of my mind anxiously waiting to see what happens next. (I normally engulf books and don't have time to sit and think about them. Because of life, this one took longer. It was a nice change of pace that allowed the book to simmer in my mind.) I was able to figure out what would happen at the end of the book and am fervently hoping there will be another one.
Many thanks to Net Galley and to Boldwood Books for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Even if I hadn’t already read several of the other books in the Puddleduck Farm series I would have been drawn to the charming cover of this book. You can’t go wrong with a book full of animals on a farm even if some of the animals are causing drama. I am a huge animal lover so of course a book with an animal sanctuary and a practicing vet that we get to go along with on her daily animal duties. How about the one where she delivers a calf in a field under the moonlight? I don’t think this bit of moonlight had any romance in it. Phoebe should be thrilled to bits running a successful vet business and her grandmother’s animal sanctuary along with all this success, she’s dating handsome widowed Rufus, Lord in waiting of the manor. Except when you seem to have it all, do you really? Phoebe and Rufus have so many responsibilities and duties their relationship is on the back burner of well, everything. I enjoyed seeing characters from previous books and meeting new characters as well. These characters added humor, friendship and charm to the story. Full of self-discovery, friendship, charm and warmth. A relatable story that you’re going to want to read. Part of a series but this can easily be read as a stand-alone story.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Love Blossoms at Puddleduck Farm is the third book, and while it could be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series is order. Phoebe and Rufus are having a rough go at things. Both are extremely busy, rarely eking out anytime for one another. Add in a meddling maid and old-fashioned thinking, and Phoebe has her work cut out for her. And that's what this relationship seems to be full of - work. Several passages made my eyes a bit leaky as I really felt Phoebe was too hard on herself.

This book in the series was a bit darker and less lighthearted than the previous two. I loved it just as much but it was different. I loved how the author wrote a realistic relationship between Phoebe and Rufus. Not all relationships are smooth or the fairytale dream.

Della Galton did a great job creating this world, setting it up, and developing the characters. The side stories involving Maggie and Eddie, Tory and Harrison, and Sam and Judy added such great elements to the story.

I was provided a copy of this book to read.

I downloaded the first book from the series from my local library. It was fun and an easy read, so I purchased more from the series via Amazon. Uplifting romance with great primary and secondary family members and additional characters.

A fabulous ending to a fabulous series. Wonderful characters, laugh out loud moments, characterful animals of all shapes and sizes, Saddam the cat totally inspired. I shall miss Puddleduck farm, the vets, the animals, beautiful scenery - so uplifting. If you haven't read this lovely series what are you waiting for. Hopefully there will be a new series from Della soon for me to thoroughly enjoy.

This is a lovely story, with great characters, telling the story of a village veterinary practice, and the loves and lives of staff, clients and family. Having worked for many years in a veterinary practice, I could relate to many of the trials and tribulations concerning people and animals, and the emotions involved. Plus there’s a will they, won’t they love story. I really enjoyed it.

I absolutely adored this whole series. Amazing, vivid and mostly lovable characters (there are a few deliberate exceptions!), fabulous animals and a great setting in the New Forest make this series memorable and a joy to read from start to finish. I just have to give a special mention to Saddam the cat whose interaction with a certain animal behaviourist had me laughing out very loud!

Phoebe Dashwood appears to have everything. Running her own vet practice, dating Rufus Holt heir to the Holt title, and being among her family and friends Phoebe should be happier than ever but something isn’t quite right. She and Rufus both have full on jobs and Rufus has a young son. They struggle to find time for each other and Phoebe finds herself wondering if it’s meant to be.
This 3rd book in the series is just a lovely and heartwarming as the previous ones. Phoebe, Maggie, Tori and Sam are all trying to navigate life challenges and there is romance and humour in abundance.
