Charmed & Bound (The Silver Wilde Chronicles Book 5) Kindle Edition
What happens in Faerie stays in Faerie?
I hope so. Because that’s where I am now, Faerie-married to some hot stranger who helped me escape and evade my kidnappers. Still, I don’t know who he is or if I can trust him.
After all I lost in the fight for Hekate, I thought my adventure was over. But it seems the fates want me to endure even more torture.
I need to get home to my family and ensure they’re safe from the warlocks who chased me here. My new mate insists on making sure I’m safe first. He has a point, but I’m edging toward frantic. I’ll have to find a way to sever this soul tether, too.
All that while keeping my head straight, and not falling for the charming, mysterious guy I’m now soul-bound to?
Yeah. I’m doomed.

About the author

I write about emotionally repressed, occasionally unhinged heroines who might accidentally burn the world down while trying to figure out their feelings. If they’re making questionable life choices for sexy, morally grey, supernatural reasons? Even better.
An American expat living in the UK with a mild addiction to plotting and worldbuilding new stories I don't have the time to write, I’ve spent most of my life as a high-functioning chaos creature (poorly) disguised as a responsible adult. My natural habitat is somewhere between “deep philosophical rabbit hole” and “feral gremlin hoarding obscure trivia and cursed story ideas.”
I'm into demons, darkness, and depravity—which probably says more about me than I should admit. But hey, I've never cared about that before, why start now? When I'm not writing about magical, steamy bedlam, I’m reading it. Or attempting to parent young humans without turning into a cryptid. Depends on the day.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWinter is so much fun to read. She carries so much weight on her shoulders. She keeps ignoring Thanatos when he tells her not to keep saving lives without permission. But she is sad. Having her mom kidnapped, finding out her origins, and losing her boyfriend - life hasn't been easy.
Now she's been kidnapped, saved, whisked to the fae realm, and has someone devoted to her safety - a sex god in leather named Mal. He seems too good to be true, but maybe that's ok.
This book is fast paced, funny, steamy, and engaging. Can't wait for more in the series 🔥🔥
- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2024Format: KindleI loved Silver's story and was glad that her sister, Winter, gets her story told as well. After her boyfriend died in the fight with Nikon, she is lost. She doesn't want to interact with her family or even leave her room. But she does still have a purpose. Being a demi-goddess and necromancer, she can't help but put her powers to some use… namely her friend Bethany who has cancer or all those children in the pediatric ward of the hospital. The only relief she fells is for the few minutes after she eases her friend's pain or heals or revives a child. She feels she is righting a wrong and giving a second chance to them. Thanatos (Grim) is a thorn in her side and is constantly scolding her about disrupting the balance.
Apparently someone else wants use of her powers. Instead of going home for dinner with the family, she is kidnapped, blindfolded and left tied to a chair. Enter Mal. Gorgeous, attentive, mysterious Mal who saw the kidnapping and followed to save her. But they weren't out of the woods yet. And the next thing Winter knows… she's in Fairie! And somehow soul-bonded!
This truly was an adventure and rollercoaster of emotions… for Winter and the reader! Sadness, emotional exhaustion, anxious, suspicious, fear and then hope, lighthearted, excited, then back to fear, stress, anger. But the end of the ride? Whew! Way to keep the readers glued to their seats!
The story was shorter than Silver's but well written and did not have a rushed feeling at all. The plot flowed smoothly. Great read (I had a hunch about Mal ;)!)

- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2024Format: PaperbackThis is the 5th book in the Silver Wilde Chronicles, but it features Winter instead. After the huge battle with Nikon and losing the man she was just beginning a relationship with, she is in quite a funk. She's not really doing much, except helping to heal a high school friend with cancer. On her way back from the hospital one afternoon, she is kidnapped and taken somewhere in a van. While trying to figure out how to escape, she is saved by a mysterious man and transported to Faerie.
There is so much packed into this one book! I could actually have read an entire series about this adventure! From meeting a Prince, to finding out she has a tracker with goetia magic and traveling Faerie in search of forbidden ingredients to remove the deadly magic and oh yes - soul bonding with this mysterious man!
Winter really goes through an emotional rollercoaster in this book while grieving Finch and coming to terms with her sudden feelings and attraction to Mal. She is an independent woman not used to being fawned over. And fawn Mal does! I would give this book a spice rating of 2.5/5. There are definitely some spicy scenes!
I definitely recommend reading the previous books before this one, otherwise you will get some major spoilers!!! (I also recommend them because they are great books!)
- Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2024Format: PaperbackI received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I love the concept of Charmed & Bound The Silver Wilde Chronicles: Book 5 by Dahlia T. Drake. It was very well written and thought out. I love how in this book by Dahlia T. Drake we get to discover a little more about Winter the youngest of the Wilde’s sisters. In this book we pick up a couple of weeks after the death of her boyfriend and then saving their mom from a fake god. Winter isn’t coping to well with everything that is going on in her life. When Winter gets kidnapped after one of her sessions curing one of her friends from cancer she is dragged into this amazing adventure that just might be the answer get her back to the woman who she was or if not even better than that. Winter is on a path to discover exactly what she is capable of doing as a demigoddess but will she be able to accept what she discovers on her journey, or will she let her past and her fears hold her back? I guess that you will have to read Charmed & Bound to find out what happens.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2024Format: KindleThis companion novel takes place after the events of the first four books, but could almost be read as a standalone. The POV changes to Silver’s sister, Winter, who is reeling and fighting terrible depression after the death of her boyfriend in the battle with evil warlock Nikon. This book not only takes readers into the fae realm with both its charming wonders and new dangers, but also explores the inner realm of Winter’s emotions and anxieties. It was very easy to relate to someone who is consistently concerned with how she affected others around her and molded herself to keep the peace around her. It was delightful to see the playful but firm way that Mal tried to ease Winter into putting herself first and urging her to fight for her own wants. I loved Winter’s moral compass and that she acknowledged all of her feelings. In some ways I missed the action of Silver’s books, but I loved the glimpse into Winter’s perspective.
