About the author

After earning a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, J. D. Lisbona pursued studies in graphic design and worked professionally in both fields within press offices and advertising agencies.
He made his literary debut with the novel The Redemption of the Fallen Angels (2007), followed by several other titles, including Voracious Souls (2024), The Spider’s Web Plot (2016), A Shadow in the Gloom – part of the Criminal Magazine series (2020), A Case to Solve – Criminal Magazine series (2018), The Syndicate (2014), Painting of Darkness (2013), The Legend of the Inverted Pyramid (2012), and The Reflection of a Stranger (2010).

Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2015El Sindicato como libro es un gran aporte, vibrante tanto como thriller político y de género negro; pero el abrupto corte a mitad de lectura y la historia paralela mataron el ritmo. Escribir a veces es el arte de intercalar bien.

La lectura de este libro me ha resultado totalmente adictiva. La rabiosa actualidad del contexto en el que se centra la acción la hace escalofriantemente real, tanto que podría formar parte de cualquier titular de algún periódico en las próximas semanas.
Para ser una novela escrita "al alimón" por dos autores diferentes, uno de ellos novel, fluye de manera suave página a página. Todo un acierto el cambio narrativo que se produce a mitad del libro (no digo más para no entorpecer la lectura a los siguientes lectores).
Solo un pero, que ya encuentro en otros autores de este tipo de novelas, incluso a los más reconocidos....acabar el capítulo adelantando lo que sucederá en el siguiente...algo que es innecesario en esta novela ya que no precisa ningún enganche adicional para que desees leer el siguiente capítulo.

Muy aburrida. Me pase la novela esperando que pasara algo. Por otra parte resulta poco creíble que en una sociedad como la sindical, tan endogámica, tenga tan fácil acceso un recién llegado.
