    There are so many emotions being depicted in this Falling on the Fourth story, where each sentiment seems particularly true-to-life. I really adored the romantic couple, as Truman and Ivy are very likable plus I immediately formed a connection with them. His tour as a soldier has left him with troubling flashbacks while she is shy, and neither feels like they can approach the other. But that does not stop their attraction from growing with each passing day. I was completely immersed in the lives of this couple, as I wanted them to finally speak up but obstacles kept holding them back.

    Although Truman Cox has seldom had any interaction with Ivy Cooper, the bond that he feels with her is very real. Working as the head of security for his family’s business is a good career choice for him, and though he and the woman of his dreams may not have actually had a conversation during the months since he noticed her, her presence brings the former Marine peace of mind when he becomes anxious. But an unexpected incident just might change what happens in their future.

    Ember Flint packs a lot of drama into her book, as real-life situations come into play and responses are always very genuine. My heart ached for Truman because of the way in which he secretly struggled, especially in how he wanted to be with Ivy yet felt he could not. The challenges he faces as a returning soldier are convincingly portrayed, and I eagerly read the pages in order to discover what would end up occurring. The longing between Truman and Ivy is made very clear, and their reactions during every scene touched me with their sincerity. When passion is being expressed, the encounters are explosively scorching. July 4th is cleverly worked into the story, too. RED, WHITE & HERS will be fondly recalled because of its wonderful characters and engaging plot. Rating – 4.5 Stars

    This was a pretty enjoyable story. I would say that the blurb was a little off. I was expecting Ivy to be the pursuer of the relationship but it was Truman who did all the instigating. He started everything thing in the elevator and he finished everything in the supply closet, lol. Both characters were enjoyable and sweet.

    Completely safe. No om/ow drama. No real drama at all except the drama the two create inside their heads about not being good enough for one another. H has been celibate for years and h is a virgin. No abuse.

    Really enjoyed this story! Liked how the author wrote that Truman had PTSD and went to therapy so he could handle it. That’s why Truman stayed away from Ivy for 8 months. I don’t want to say anything more but I do highly recommend this story. 100% safe, no cheating, no OW/OM drama.

    I love a good brooding alpha , and that is exactly what Truman Cox is in a nutshell. Both the H&h have strong feelings for one another but find that they end up wasting 8 months pining for each other because they feel like they don't deserve the other. I cannot wait for the other three books in this mini series so that we can find out who the other Cox's end up with for the company fourth of July BBQ!!!!

    This was a great novella by Ember Flint,,,,

    Truman Cox was a Marine but now he is in the family business ,,,, Cox Enterprises is a business which was started and is still running by the Cox family,,,, Truman has a brother who is a year older then he is named Quincy whom is Head of Marketing,,, and also a younger sister named Ashleigh who is in the Mailroom,,,, Their parents died in a jet crash,,,, Truman, Quincy and Ashleigh were on vacation with their Uncle John, whom is the CEO of the company and his family,,, they were with them while mom and dad went on their 2nd honeymoon with a break from the kids and after the crash, they lived with their Uncle and his family ,,,, Truman is Head of Security and takes his job VERY seriously,,,, and he doesn't really do much besides work, except stare at one of the graphic designers from Cox Enterprises and her name is Ivy Cooper ,,,, all of the family knows about his "love" for Ivy,,, his cousin Theodore, who is his best friend and the CFO @ Cox Ent,,,, they all tell him to go talk to her each time they see him,,, but he's afraid she will turn him down,,,, and then he has already decided that with his PTSD that everybody is best if they stay away from him,,,, his PTSD episodes are his to deal with,,,, but he's been under therapy and has one thing that calms him down,,,, thinking of Ivy Cooper ,,,, 

    Ivy Cooper is a talented Cox Enterprises employee in the Graphic Design Department who has known she wanted to be a graphic design artist since she's been 14 ,,, she has done everything to get herself into this position since then,,, she has a best friend at Cox named Ava and she is a couple years younger than Ivy and in the IT Department,,,, Ivy's parents live elsewhere, they are celebrating their retirement ,, but her friend knows something about Ivy,,,, Ivy Cooper has a major crush on one Truman Cox,,, Ava says that Ivy should go tell Truman that she likes him, ,,, but Ivy says Truman is always doing work and breathing work and ,,,, you get the jest ,,,, if Ivy would just talk to him,,,, 

    This is a great short read that apparently has 3 other short stories you can read,,,, I'm guessing they are going to be about older brother, Quincy,, older cousin Jefferson and of cousin, Truman's best friend and CFO of Cox Enterprises, Theodore,,,, all by different authors,,,, but if their stories are like Ms Ember Flint's work ,,,, they are totally worth tracking them down,,,, I would so totally recommend this (and almost certainly the other 3)book to everyone ,,,,
