Novel contains: Strong MC in a slice of life environment, dungeon diving, boss battles, cultivation and elements, mana/magic, mc exclusive system but it doesn't do the work for him, treasures, adventurers, slow world building, build-up, features that will not be introduced all at once (upgrades so on), actual good loot at the end of very powerful bosses, romance(no harem). As characters develop throughout the series, issues and emotions and even the mc may find himself in a corner or two. A story of an upcoming potion shopkeeper and his apprentices.

Building an S-ranked Potion Shop is easier said than done...

    This is a great light novel if you are into this genre. This is similar to the post I made for the first two books.

    The whole story line is not pushed like many of them are. And like any story, nothing is perfect. What really got me was the awesome misinterpretations of the 'pets' in their conversations.

    The cons to this one however are much greater. The overall quality of the book dropped from a reading experience. It feels as though it was pushed/rushed to get out instead of the time taken to make it what it should have been.

    There are way more editing mistakes in this book which should not have been there. Some times whole paragraphs were off track.
    Some of the story just doesn't quite fit. Even when it makes sense in the story the placement was incorrect.

    Don’t get me wrong, I love this series, and if you liked the other books you’ll like this one too. That being said this book has a lot of problems the others either didn’t have or were not near as noticeable.

    I can only conclude this book must have been rushed. The increase in spelling and grammar errors at least points to rushed editing, but the writing seemed rushed too. There were so many times where the book would just start talking about something completely random and unrelated in the middle of something else happening. Either that or it would start to not really make sense. I often found myself rereading paragraphs multiple times trying to decipher them. The worst though was all the clipped sentences. Just two or three words long, and multiple ones in a row.

    As far as the story goes it was mostly pretty great but I think the author is starting to have trouble keeping track of everything. Many things didn’t make an appearance again, like the stick he got as one example. Or they showed up one more time and then disappeared again, like the outfit Milia made for him or the silver knuckles.

    Then we were left hanging with a few things at the end. We got a status screen every time his quest went up so much as a percentage, or even when nothing changed at all, and then nothing at the end. Plus he still had two unopened chests from before the last battle, then got more from that and we didn’t get to see any of them opened. We seriously have to wait for the next book for that? That seems like it would have been the perfect way to wrap it up to me…

    I really love this series so I hope the author takes the time to make sure the next book is perfect. I’d rather wait longer than be disappointed. All this being said, it’s still only enough to bring it down to four stars, and I’ll definitely be buying the next one.

    I like how this book deals with maturity and how people if not promoted by those around them just will not grow up. It’s interesting how the author has kind of framed the world in a perspective where almost everyone never learned how to be mature because they were caught up in becoming powerful. This along with the main message of doing things that you enjoy rather than what the world wants you too makes for a very good read.
