    A ruby gemstone is a talisman of passion and protection, making the title of this story and its main character quite apt. Chloe Harper, aka Ruby, has abounding passion for her job with LOTN and her man Noah Walker. They are paired with Grayson Webb and Ned Angler to infiltrate and take down a domestic terrorist group headed by Clay Drechsler. They must also expose a mole in the ATF who could destroy their mission and their lives.

    As Shakespeare wrote in As You Like It: "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts".- (Act II, Scene VII) These words certainly apply to the Ruby characters. As they develop their passions in their love lives and their professional ideals, they each must adapt and assume whatever role is needed in that moment. Just as one expects from a Taylor Lee novel, this does not happen without drama, suspense, laughter, and sex. The characters evolve as the plot rises, climaxes, and winds down.

    Yet these "many parts" that are required on the world's stage do not just revolve around the characters' passions. They are also strongly based on protection of loved ones, team members, general citizens, and country. Lee allows her characters to make difficult decisions and sacrifices for duty and honor. Ruby and her cohorts except for, of course, the bad guys are admirable in their final choices.

    Ruby is a definite read and great addition to the Ladies of the Night series.

    Book 2 in Ladies of the Night Collection is a power packing must read!!! Ruby and Noah are perfect together in this on the edge of your seat book. Ruby is the first agent for Ladies of the Night undercover special security team and feels like a step sister to the team because she is not the classic Barbie Doll look alike. Noah is also an undercover agent for Ian Ross's special security team that works with LOTN, he is also the son of a well known wealthy black Senator and an agent with ATF. The mission is to go to Colorado to take down a racist arms dealing, meth making group called FAN. Noah is the commander of this mission and had a hard time with his feelings for Ruby due to the fact that his orders puts her in a dangerous position. Taylor Lee has done a terrific job with the writing of this story so much that you will hate to put it down.

Once I started reading Ruby I could not put it down, then again I have not read one of Ms. Lee's books that I could just read a few lines or paragraph and put it down to read later because all of them are amazing. Taylor Lee's books are so exciting and intense TV, dinner and sometimes house cleaning gets put on the back burner until I finish reading her books add Ruby to the collection of intriguing, suspenseful romantic books that I really enjoyed reading I can't wait for Topaz to come out. Now I can get caught up on all the back burner things I neglected while I was immersed in Ruby lol

    If you love hot Alpha males and the gorgeous women that turn them inside out you have to Read this book and better yet Start with Sapphire book 1 to get first book, these are stand alone books but I love starting in beginning of series. You will be so glad you bought this book you will want to go out and buy her other books, Taylor's books grab you from the first page Warning you won't want to put it down until the last page!!!!

    I loved this book too. I am a fan of Taylor Lee and started reading her books with her Blonde Barracuda Series. I like the way she build her alpha men and the women who capture them. This book has again all the ingredients like good story line and great subject matter.Not to forget action and suspense along with the steamy sex. The story kept me reading until I finished it and I want more. I'm looking forward to reading the next books in this series. Can't wait for the Storys of Topaz and Diamond.

    And again: Books like this are the reason why I read in english and not in my mother language (I would have to wait too long for the translated Version)
