Elemental Awakening: A LitRPG Adventure (Realms & Runes Book 2) Kindle Edition
Erik and Ainsley have reached Aurhlio, the first destination on their journey of revenge. Spending months together in such close proximity has encouraged their feelings to grow and blossom.
The life of a cultivator is a lonely one; unless you have managed to find a companion that can always stay by your side. That is what they have found in each other, and their desire to keep the other safe fuels their training efforts.
It's these training efforts that reveal the presence of demons nearby, just waiting for a chance to strike.
The first of their targets, the Hidden Vang clan, is almost within reach. They aren't strong enough to handle them, yet. What will they do, wait? Or find another method to destroy their enemy?
Dive into the world of Realms & Runes with the second installation today!

About the author

My name is Joshua Kern and I am an anxiety riddled individual who is trying to write for a living. I’ve always loved reading and the escape books provide from everyday life. Writing stories was something that I always wanted to do at some point in the future. I just wasn't sure when, and now I have finally decided to take the plunge.
I am currently writing several series that span a few different genres from LitRPG/GameLit, and Fantasy to even a bit of Romance.
I was born in a little town situated somewhere in Ohio and raised in an even smaller town some place in Colorado. I attended University for a time, where I discovered that while I enjoyed Electrical Engineering and Computer Science my true passion lay in writing. I live primarily in Colorado but have been known to move around as the need arises. When not writing, I enjoy riding motorcycles, reading anything I can get my hands on, and anime.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2025I enjoyed reading this book very much and I recommend this book to anyone who likes LitRPG and progression type of books with lots of action.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2024I have enjoyed the series so far. However, this genre amuses me so much with its weird tropes. Overwhelming violence, fine. Rude narcissistic sociopathic behavior from everyone, fine. Threats or implied threats, or events of rape being part of the story, fine. An adult relationship that includes intimacy or the word sex, forbidden. Not this story but others go in the other dirction and it is harems and adolecent sex fantasy crap. It would be nice in general if the genre would grow from its adolecence into an actualized adult format that could handle a full range of emotional content.
Meanwhile, we have a fantasy story with dwarves, elfs, gods and cultivation where the most fantastic element of the story is the relationship of two married teens... It is almost too much.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2024Through the book, the main character is slowly adapting to how the world runs. He's growing more from situations he's jumping into for reasons other than revenge.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2024A good entry into the book series, I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book released.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2024I had a great time reading book 2. The title is a very literal summary of the story, which progresses nicely from the first book. I look forward to book 3.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2024Simply put, if you liked the first one, you'll probably like this one. It's pretty quick paced and really doesn't let up until the end.
Highly recommended.
