Hunter, Ash, Ledger, and Samson.
The Kings of Ravenwood Academy.
Their names still send shivers down my spine, for more than one reason.

Back then, they didn’t expect me to fight back.
But I did.
And now I’m theirs.

After making a pact with them, they help me get revenge on the one man who wronged me.
I’m not the same meek, little girl that got taken advantage of.
Now, I have four ruthless guys willing to risk everything for me.

The only problem is, I promised them everything I had in return for their help.
So while I may be the new Queen of Ravenwood, the Kings still own me, body and soul.

And I’m not quite sure I’m ready to hand over my crown.

Amanda Richardson writes from her chaotic dining room table in Yorkshire, England, often distracted by her husband and two adorable sons. When she's not writing contemporary and dark, twisted romance, she enjoys coffee (a little too much) and collecting house plants like they're going out of style.

I have read both Ruthless Crown and Ruthless Queen by Amanda Richardson back to back. It was a first read from this author for me but it will definitely not be the last. This duet was extremely, scorching HOT 🥵🥵🥵. I enjoyed all four male characters and their interactions with the main female character both individually and as a group. Especially the intimate scenes were described so perfectly that I felt my panties melt into a puddle🌶🌶🌶 If you are into reverse harem, this duet is definitely the one for you!

Some of this was a bit hard to read so definitely check your trigger warnings. Outside of the on-page rape, this was a good book and I enjoyed watching each of them overcome their pasts.

The characters are still the same from book two but a lot of the guys are settled in some as some of their problems are not there anymore. Ash is now trying to figure out his life with his mom in his life once again. But now Briar is the one dealing with things in her life and the boys are trying to protect her. Her raptist that she almost killed back at her old life before Hunter and the the Kings is back. He is hunting Briar and is now trying to do something to her. He stalking her as sometimes he is seen then there are times they don't know where he is. Also the Kings and now the Queen is trying to figure out how to move about with their relationship. Briar is trying to get her friends again to like her as well. So lots of weird movement in this book that can kind of get you all confused on what is going on. Also the ending is kind of strange as it fast forwards quite a lot. I really did wish I could see them in each step in their life rather then be talked about by one character. It's a great story and it really does finish the Duet out.

As with the first book, this one is also highly implausible, and completely unrealistic, so you really have to suspend disbelief. But if you can accept that & just take the story for what it is, then it’s pretty good. I’m not sure why, but this one didn’t ensnare me as much as the first book did. We did get more answers to unresolved questions and whatnot, and Cam, of course gets what’s been coming. But I don’t know. It was just kind of “meh” for me. Still reasonably entertaining though.

Ruthless Royals Duet by Amanda Richardson focuses on a steamy reverse harem story between Briar and the Kings of Ravenwood.

First, read Ruthless Crown to be introduced to Briar and her mother (Aubrey) who move to Greythorn to live with Aubrey's new husband and his son (Hunter). Hunter and his friends (Ash, Ledger, and Samson) are the Kings of Ravenwood Academy. At first this book starts off like many stepbrother/ bully academy series, but quickly changes when Briar wins them over and helps them with the problems from their pasts. At the end of Ruthless Crown we learn that Briar is now in need of their help and protection from what happened to her right before she moved to Greythorn. That's the set up of what will be the major plot point in Ruthless Queen.

Ruthless Queen begins with revealing to the reader what happened in detail to Briar and that the culprit has followed her to Greythorn. This puts everyone on high alert, but Briar is determined to live a normal life and help her Kings to regain normalcy in their lives. As the five work to help each other and to protect Briar their relationships grow stronger and more amorous. There are scenes between Briar and each of her Kings and with all five together. Eventually the man who followed Briar to Greythorn attacks and she must fight for her life. Read Ruthless Queen to see how Briar changes things at Ravenwood (at least for now) and what happens between the attacker and Briar. Will Briar survive the attack? Will she end up with one or more of the Kings? For the answers I highly recommend this steamy duet by Amanda Richardson.

The second book in this duet was good! I enjoyed all the smut, because well it’s smut!!!

In the conclusion of the Ruthless Royals duet, Briars past LITERALLY comes back to bite her in the ass. The man who turned world upside down escaped from prison, and he is out for blood 🩸 but not before taunting and stalking his prey. Hunter, Ledger, Ash and Samson fall more in love with Briar each day and refuse to let her fight this battle on her own.

In the end, it was only Briar who could stand up for herself and she come out victorious. She came out STRONGER. It allowed her to accept herself more and be more comfortable with her kings. Plus, her growth into her $exuality was notable as well. Can we just talk about that camping 🏕 night!?! Holy. Hell! 🥵 🔥 💦 and that scene in that chapel, like the big F U to Ledgers parents was perfect for them!

The book was a very quick read however at times felt a little rushed. All the main topics where addressed, however I wish there could have been a little more depth. I would have loved to see the moment both the parent found out, I know they mentioned they assumed they knew, but I would have loved more! Regardless of those issues, which aren’t really issues, more me wanting more! I would definitely recommend this book to other but please look into the triggers before reading as they are strong.

⚠️ This book depicts two separate SA scenes, one successful and one attempt. The is still slight mention of suicide, though not as much in this book as the first. This RH book does contain a few MM scenes as well. ⚠️

I liked this story and the view in the epilogue years down the road. She got her justice as did all of the guys. Not really dark, and short story in a way. I did like it. Has heat and some good scenes with all of them.

    An end of an era.
Again a really fast read. I loved this one just as much as I loved the first one. That camping scene? Omg I thought I died and when to heaven.. First Ms. Briar, she found her strength to battle her demon and she slayed it. Her four kings who stood by her side and embraced her when she needed it the most.
They were there for each other. Learning from each other as they battled with their own demons and the uncertainty of the future. It was a good story. Although I wasn't too happy with the ending. I thought they would all be together. Not separately together.

This second book gave us a perfect and very realistic ending to the plot.

The author’s writing is very clear, the ideas are well developed and the characters are very well described.

This plot is all about taking control of your destiny, about how sometimes difficult facts from our past could initially put us down and depressed, but they can also mold our personalities into very tough scale-like resistant future.

It all depends how you digest the facts and use the experience for your own benefit and own self development.

    I would definitely recommend.

I really got stuck into these books. Each page pulls you through all the crazy twists.

The characters are well written, and each of them gives you something different. Briar and each of her guys bring plenty of steamy scenes to this book, too. But ultimately, after everything she went through, we get to see such a happy ending

Good ending to this RH romance. I liked all the characters. This had plenty of steam and some good suspense. The very ending was odd that they don't all live together but 🤷‍♀️
