A chance meeting in New Year’Eve at Stanford University where she is a political science- international relations grad student and he is a whiskey maker whose “Shannon” is being served.     Brody has a flourishing business and it seems to just keep growing. He has a huge family that he holds just above his business as #1 & #2. Family is always first. New Year’s Eve finds him working his business magic at a Stanford University gathering. It would be a huge opportunity to be able to add the university to his sales list. As he is having a conversation with the professor who arranged this possible sale, he spots an amazing face and figure that takes his breath away.

    Freedom is all about graduation and her life goals. Finish college, get a job and keep moving forward, no relationships to tie her down, nothing to slow her progress. Her only concerns are her little sister and getting through this last semester of college. She sees attending this New Year’s Eve gathering as a way to do some networking to help with her career after graduation. She along with all the other attendees are just waiting for the last few minutes of the old year to pass when a gorgeous man ventures up and whispers in her ear that he wants to kiss her at midnight. She has no problem with a hookup to celebrate but that kiss was more than she expected.

    One night is all they expected but that’s not how things are working out.

    Hooking up every time you see one another when both people only do one night stands; what does this mean? That’s what Brody & Freedom do from the first time they met. The attraction was instantaneous. They really try to stay away from each other because it’s for the best. They both have a lot of responsibility on their shoulders and are too busy for a relationship. On the other hand, they can’t stop thinking about each other. It’s a steamy book right from the beginning, which I loved. I didn’t have to wait for the steam to begin until half the book was over. This first book ends with another one night stand, but they are both realizing their feelings are coming to fruition. What will happen going forward? I can’t wait to find out in the next book. Great job M.S. Parker, for holding my attention once again with your books.

    AWESOME STORY of Brody and Freedom! I just want to give a swift kick to Freedom. Why does she always assume the worst of Brody? Why does she automatically assume Aline needs her for everything or wants her for everything. Brody and Freedom have had something since New Year's Eve but neither is really ready to address it yet although I think Brody is coming closer to the realization he is in love.
    Knowing the other side to this story from Eoin's point of view, this next story should be very interesting!

Until Freedom walked into his life, and now he just can't seem to get her out of his head. What started out as something casual was turning into much more, and neither one of them wanted to admit that to each other. Will they be able to move past the things that are holding them back, and find happiness together? Or will they do their best to try to ignore what they are each feeling for the other?

    This is book one of Brody and Freedom’s story so although this is book six in the series you don’t have to read all of the others before you read this book. I do recommend that you read them because you will get more out of the book and this series is delicious. I don’t think I have read any M.S. Parker that I didn’t love actually. If you like well written modern love stories with complex characters and hot scenes then try her writing.
