The SEAL’s Convenient Marriage: A Military Romance with A Protective Navy SEAL Fighting to Keep Her And Her Son Safe (SEAL Team Four Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 623 ratings

I like to win. Always have. And from what I’ve seen, love is a losing battle.

Just ask my mother after my father left.

I’m married to my job as a Navy SEAL instead.

Love and all that comes with it has no place in my life.

Or so I think.

Then Emily Edwards adopts my baby brother. And he needs cancer treatment.

Here I am sitting on access to healthcare and free housing.

It makes sense to marry Emily, to give Matthew a fighting chance.

And I’ll get to have a family…without all the emotional baggage.

But Emily gets under my skin in a way no woman ever has.

And then she starts getting threatening messages.

Suddenly, all that matters is keeping Emily—and our family—safe.

No matter the cost to myself…or my traitorous heart.

Great News! The SEAL’s Convenient Marriage has been updated on May 7, 2024 and is now part of an exciting new six book series called SEAL Team Four. There is an overarching storyline about the SEAL team and is concluded by a sixth brand new novel that will explore their former SEAL leader called SEAL's Justice.

Emily becomes the guardian of Matthew when his mother dies. Everything is going well for them and then Matthew gets sick from cancer. The bills starts piling up and Emily worries about what she'll do for them. Nate is in the navy and he is home when he learns about Emily and everything they're going through. He comes up with the idea of them marrying so they'll be on his insurance plus help out financially. When Emily walks in on the doctor doing something he shouldn't he starts threatening her. She keeps the incident to herself trying not to bring any trouble to Nate. However Nate finds out and isn't happy about it at all. What will he do to the doctor? Will he finally admit to Emily that what they have is real?

This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

An unusual family situation, a young son currently treating for cancer, a crime witnessed and now ongoing threats to kill her if she tells what she saw. Here sets the pace for unusual dynamics between two adults, a very young buy and criminal element. A very entertaining and lovable romance with a touch of terror and suspense.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and fell in love with it from the beginning. My heart just broke for Emily. Emily is a young artist who is struggling to pay the bills because she adopted her boss's young son after she died in an auto accident. Within those 2 years of Emily becoming Matthew's new mom, he is fighting childhood cancer. Now when Emily has a little of money to pay towards the huge medical bills of Matthew's treatment, Emily sees something that she should not have seen and is threatened by the doctor who is treating Matthew. Now enter Nate. Nate is a devoted Navy Seal who just happens to be the big older brother to Matthew. When Nate comes back home for a visit he learns just how bad things are for Emily and gives her a solution, an unconventional solution but a solution non-the-less. Marry him!!! It would solve all of the problems, Matthew would get the best care possible for his cancer treatments, Emily would not be drowning in medical bills and other household bills, she would save on rent, etc. So she agrees. That is when all of the intrigue starts going full-speed ahead. This one will have you on the edge of your seats and you will be there until the end. Well done.

**Was given this free ARC in the beginning to read and then given my honest review of it afterwards by HiddenGems Books but then it was getting so good that I broke down and bought it and added it to my Kindle library.**

This book brings us Nate and Emily. Nate's mother, on her deathbed, appoints Emily custody of her minor son Matthew. A couple of years later, Matthew develops cancer, and Emily will do anything for him. However, with the mounting hospital bills, Emily finds herself with little money. Nate comes home and discovers Emily's predicament and offers to marry her for insurance purposes only. Emily is hesitant, but finds this to be her only way out of debt. This will make her and Matthew's life much easier. However, after a late night visit to pay a bill, Emily walks in on Matthew's Doctor doing something illegal and is threatened by him. Nate becomes involved when he learns of the Dr's threats to Emily. I loved how Nate truly found his "one." I highly recommend this book. I received an arc for an honest review.
