I feel like I’ve lost a limb.
Laura Lee has once again managed to rip my heart to pieces and stitch it back together. This book was everything—and then some—that I was hoping for.
Beautifully broken Bentley—ever the joker and playboy—stole my heart in the original WA trilogy and now, he is firmly rooted in my memory.
Finally getting all the pieces of his story was eye opening, heartbreaking, and bittersweet.
I knew he would need a strong partner—with all the drama that surrounds their friend group—and Sydney was a perfect match for our broken playboy.
Sweet, sassy, independent, and strong willed; there was no doubt in my mind they would end up in a place that would heal the hurt created with their story.
Yes, there were times I wanted to throw my book, reach into it and junk punch Bent (and a few other characters because... grrr, some of them were completely horrible humans) but overall, the story was simply beautiful.
There is plenty of angst, some very hard subjects to work through, steam, snarky banter, along with the fun and playful interactions we have come to love from Jazz, Kingston, Bent and co. Add in Cam to that mix and I was snorting drink out my nose in places.
With the way the story ended I’m now super excited to see what Mrs. Lee has in store for us in the next series. And, I really hope that some of these characters get cameos - I could NEVER not enjoy the crazy that comes with this group of friends.
