Mouse: A Steel Paragons MC Novel (The Coast: Book 7) Kindle Edition
Ever wonder if you’ll get anything in your life right?
Well, that was how I’d felt for a while now.
Life was pretty good, nothing too exciting and the days seemed to blend together.
That was until Ky told me that his sister was coming back— coming home. The world sort of seemed to stand still for a few seconds then, and I couldn’t even tell you why.
It had been two years since I’d seen her.
A lot can change in two years.
She stole my breath away the moment she walked back into my life and she was no longer a girl. Nope. Not by a long shot. I hadn’t expected the feelings to hit me like they did, and try as I might, I fought them hard.
There was only so much strength I had in me though.
She was Ky’s little sister and I knew better than to do that to a brother.
Only, the collision of her coming back into my life lit a spark that was impossible to ignore.
I had no clue how I was going to make this work but every part of my soul was ready to fight to the death if need be.
Because there was no way around it, Ingram was made for me.
Ingram
I was finally going home. I couldn’t have been happier. It was time to start my life as I wanted it and show my son what it was like to be around family. Ky and Chris had been amazing and I was excited to be living with them until I got on my feet.
Mouse had been there when I’d been most scared. It had been two years since I’d seen his face and I could admit that I missed it.
There was something that felt right when I was around him, something different than what had been there before. Only, he kept turning his back on me every time I tried to get closer.
There was only so much someone could take, Right?

About the author

Eve R. Hart has a habit of weaving stories laced thick with romance. They often bounce between awkward humor and dark themes- sometimes making a scary combination of the two. It doesn’t matter how it comes, she just wants love to win at the end of the day.
Eve lives on the coast of North Carolina with their partner in chaos, three beautifully nerdy kids, and a ridiculously sweet dog. When they need a break, you’ll find Eve lost in a book, playing board games with her family, or whipping up something crazy in the kitchen.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2019Gahhhh! I feel like I have been waiting forever for Mouse and Ingram’s story to come about and boy did Eve R. Hart put me through the paces with it.
For those of you have not read all the books in the Steel Paragons MC series or at least the ones from The Coast, you might not want to read on. I’m going to try and not give away spoilers, but this book got me all up in my feelings.
I was pissed at Mouse for about 75% of the book, and that surprised me. Since we first met Mouse back in Knights book he has always come across as a bit shy, very loyal and the guy that everyone seems to be able to go to when they need advice. So when the book starts and he’s acting like a fool I was shocked. How could shy, sweet, loving Mouse be such an idiot? And keep being an idiot, and keep being an idiot. Now with that being said, the story makes perfect sense. I know as a lover of books, I think I want every book to be perfect from beginning to end. The couple comes back together, and everything is as it should be. But let’s be honest, we don’t want it to be like that because it would be so unbelievably dull and every book we read would be precisely the same. So yeah I was pissed at Mouse most of the book, but it was worth it because it takes him through a journey to figure out his issues and we get to be there to witness that.
When the book starts Ingram has already come so far. She has been gone for two years and we have to get reacquainted with her. In some parts of the book I kept asking would Ingram really do this? I had to remind myself that the scared pregnant teenager is gone, she’s now a strong woman and mother! We also get to see a lot of Chris and Ky again, which I LOVED! They are my favorite Steel Paragon couple. And in this book they play a key role in helping Mouse and Ingram in their journey to finding each other.
Mouse and Ingram go through serious shit in this book and as a reader there were times I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. Prepare yourself for your emotions to go all over the place, but trust me when I tell you it is going to be worth every word.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2019I really liked this book, but I’m not going to lie, there were points in this book that I really really wanted to smack Mouse. And I never could really figure out what was making him depressed. I also hated that he was with another woman when Ingram came home. I also hated Amber from the get go (based on how the guys perceived her in Cable’s story). However, I really did loved Ingram, her heart was so big and she was so kind. How could anyone not love her. I also loved that she wasn’t a push over even though she had been raised to be one. It was a good story, but I guess I didn’t really love Mouse as much as I was hoping I would. The only thing he did that melted my heart was how much he loved Ingram’s son. Again I loved the supporting characters and the ending was the best (hint: there is a marriage). The book was a great read but then again I love this series so……I will always encourage everyone to read this series and this book as I don’t think you will be disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2019This book picks up where Ky’s epilogue ends but without going into too much detail the two years Ingram was away is told in letters she writes Mouse *sigh*. You’d not know how to feel about Mouse for a bit in this book but he more than makes up for it and Ingram is one strong character. Even after everything she goes through, she’s open to everything new and wants to make it on her own.
I know it might not be a popular opinion but I liked Amber, she called Mouse out and made him realize he likes Ingram, though towards the end I hated what she decided to do.
Eve R Hart writes amazing stories and this was no exception. Though a bit on the slower side, which this story definitely needed, it doesn’t take away from the story. Can’t wait for more. Especially Iron and Sketch and Blade 😃
- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2020I have read and loved every book in this series. The beginning of this one had me nervous cause I had a hard time getting into it. But by chapter 4 I was hooked. If you love MC reads then this series is a must. Will definitely recommend this book to others. Cannot wait to read the next one in this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2019The couple years in the making! Ingram has finally came home but can Mouse see past her being his brother’s little sister? Or the broken girl who showed up two years ago? I loved seeing these two grow as individuals and find a way to come together as a couple. With a few surprises I would have never saw coming..... this turned into a fantastic read.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2019Mouse was a story that not only pulled me in from the beginning, but gave me all the feels. Ingram and Mouse are cute together. I was pleased to see their relationship develop from friendship to a happily ever after. Mouse was an enjoyable story that I recommend reading.
I cannot wait for future stories.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2019I must admit that I'm not a big MC reader but this series sucked me in and I've read all of the Steele Paragons. I enjoyed seeing how the relationship between Mouse and Ingram developed and this book took a turn I wasn't expecting. I'm looking to reading more of this series.
