Book 6 Drew And Kelly... I have enjoyed the previous books with Kelly's fun factor. In the beginning of this book, I had a slight problem with her use of sex with so many different partners. Thank goodness Drew comes along. Drew is Dom's best friend and his law partner. He fell for Kelly at first sight. She was too busy using men to really notice him. The first half of the book gives us the background needed to understand Kelly. We see their relationship develop. The last part of the book has the action and suspense that we are used to in this series. Again I love that we get to revisit characters from this series. No cliffhanger.

3 1/2 stars. This one is a little weird for me. I am a big fan of this series--mostly because I love romantic suspense type books. I am not really sure how this one fits in with the rest of the series. This one seemed to be two different books in one. The first almost 60% was the story about a woman having a "hallelujah" moment, and trying to change what she considers an empty way of living, and a man who is trying to show her how incredible she is. It was a sweet love story of learning self worth--combined with totally hot--and I mean HOT--intimate scenes complete with voyeurism. This was pretty much the entire first 60%, with not much more happening.

The second part of the book was like something out of a Bruce Willis movie. I guess I was looking for action and suspense--well I got it. Pretty much nothing else to say about it his part.

Even though I thought it was confusing, I did enjoy it. I like this author's writing style, and I enjoyed visiting with the characters from the previous books. I think I may have enjoyed it more as a stand alone, and not part of this series. I guess if the author is trying to keep the series fresh, and not rely on the same type of plot, I think she succeeded. It just wasn't what I was expecting.

I have to say I certainly didn't expect to see free spirit Kelly Quake coupled with Dominic's law partner Drew Kline. When Kelly starts the downward spiral that is her life, this totally unexpected attorney walks into her life. Their story is a heartwarming adventure.The series is great reading. Nicola Claire is an incredible author. I've also read her Kindred series and am eagerly awaiting her new H.E.A.T series. I am sure she will not disappoint!

I'm a huge fan of the "Sweet Seduction" series. I was really looking forward to reading Kelly's story. As always, the hotness between the H/h was off the charts. That being said, I was a little disappointed with book 6.

The presence of all the supporting characters was missing which is too bad since having them all there enriches the story even more. I love it when they get together. While there was romance and some action, I found it lacking with respect to an intriguing story. While there was some action towards the end, it didn't feel very suspenseful. Yes, there's the whole hostage situation near the end, but when compared to the previous novels in the series, I found it lacking. It was just sex, sex, sex. Hey, I love reading hot, sizzling sexcapades, and Nicola Claire really rocks when she writes them, but this was overkill. More than half the book is about them being together and having sex in their bed, and places where they could be caught; and then the last part is them weaving thru building ducts trying to escape thugs who've taken over the District Court Building. Throughout this they're both learning more about each other, etc. etc. etc. As much as I learned about Kelly and Drew, they still came across to me as almost empty; like something was missing. Yes, I know they talked about their lives and feelings, but I can't help but feel that compared to the other couples, they were a little boring. (I hope I'm making sense.) All the previous heroines all seemed to have a huge secret, or someone they were deathly afraid of, or running away from. I think that's what's missing here. Kelly's story wasn't surprising or shocking. Before anyone jumps down my throat on this, I just want to say that I'm not making light of her past (or anyone else for that matter who went thru the same thing). I'm just saying that compared to the other women, her father walking out on her and her mother wasn't as suspenseful. That's it, nothing more. I also found it hard to believe that once Kelly gave up the four men she always had sex with, them and the many others, that in a matter of a couple of days she fell in love with Drew. For sure I could feel the love Drew had for Kelly, as it had been growing since he first saw her. But for someone who was trying to clean up her life and discover who she is, it felt unrealistic, all of it moving too fast. At the end of the day, although I didn't love book 6 like I did the previous books (except book 4), I didn't hate it. No matter, I'm sure there will be many others who'll end up loving it. I still recommend this series, and I look forward to book 7, which can't come soon enough. I just hope there's more suspense, and intrigue, and as always, hot, sizzling passion between Eric and his girl.

Number six in the Sweet Seduction series has Kelly and Andrew looking for their HEA. Each one of the Sweet Serenade books have been quite different even though with an underlying theme of falling into one's HEA -- however unintentionally. Place and time continue to revolve around New Zealand and a group of friends/acquaintances that work at or enjoy gathering at the quirky coffee shop. As with the other books there is danger, some suspense and people acting with heroism. And there is a lot of sex in this one, so be prepared. Still, I like the characters and I like the interaction within the many caring relationships and I like the funny dialogue between good friends.

Having read the whole series so far back to back, I pray there are more to follow in the series (I can think of another 5 characters I would like to catch up with) and hope I don't have to wait too long to read them ! I just love the way the story unfolds through each installment and that previously explored characters are woven into the plot, however I would like a little more of them in the story just to know they are still ok. I missed Adam, Finn, Katie, Jason, Nick and Eva in this story. I keep expecting in any of the books, for the girls to meet up and confide on each other, spilling the beans on their developing relationships. But I understand that this was Kelly and Drew's story and it could get diluted if you drag too many character into the plot. I also wished the end of the book had not sped 5 weeks forward as I felt like I had missed a chunk of the action between Drew and Kelly and how that monumental situation had shaped them and their relationship, how Gen coped with both her best friend and fiance in such danger and in the aftermath. So I guess I'm just greedy and want more ! I do feel like I know them all pretty well though and if I were to head off to Auckland then I would wish I could buy a coffee and some chocolate, sit in a corner of the shop and watch the 'Hotties' in action. Guess that is down to the author writing about believable characters, even if they can be a little irritating very occasionally and all have such ferocious appetites for sex and danger. So I'm waiting with baited breath for the next all consuming installment and might just have to re-read all the books again with hindsight in mind whilst I wait impatiently. Thank you Nicola Claire for keeping my interest, capturing my imagination, transporting me to the other side of the world and in the process getting me a little hot under the collar again and again and again !

Ok I did enjoy this book have read all the series and looking forward to the next one. This just happened to be my least favourite worthy of four stars but found it to be a bit underwhelming, all the talking of colours and rainbows and Kelly's feelings just left me a bit disappointed. Not much input from previous characters which was a shame and the ending just felt a bit underdeveloped from Ben finding them to the wedding. Still love the series though.
