About the authors
I’ve always loved mysteries, especially those involving Agatha Christie's Miss Marple. Perhaps because Miss Marple reminds me of my aunts when I was growing up. But Agatha never told us much about Miss Marple's earlier life. While writing my own elderly super-sleuth series, I’m tracing her career from the start. As you’ll see, if you follow the Miss Riddell Cozy Mysteries series.
However, this is my Bio, not Miss Riddell’s, so here goes with all you need to know about me: After retiring, I became a writer and when I’m not feverishly typing on my laptop, you’ll find me running, cycling, walking, and taking wildlife photos wherever and whenever I can. My cozy mystery series begins in northern England because that was my home growing up and that’s also the home of so many great cozy mysteries. Stay with me though because Miss Riddell loves to travel as much as I do and the stories will take us to the many different places around the world I’ve lived in or visited.
Award-winning author of best-selling quilting cozy mystery series:

- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2024I received an ARC and this is my voluntary review. These stories are a quick read featuring two older amateur sleuths named Nona and Pauline. This was like a box of fancy candy that was hard to put down until they were all done or in this case all read. Lots of fun and humor along with murder which is a great combination.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2022Pauline and Nona are such a great combination! I loved these quick reads that were filled to the brim with mystery and that dash of humor. I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2022Having read the various Pauline Riddell cozy mysteries, I was intrigued by this latest work, which is a collaboration of two authors. This time Pauline is much older and has retired from her day job, but not from solving murders.
She's joined by Gretta Galia, Nona to her friends, of quilting mysteries fame, also a retiree. The pair meet at a winery in Niagara Falls and are soon faced with their first suspicious death to resolve.
The stories are brief and nicely paced, just enough to set the scene of another grisly murder, which our famous amateur sleuths then unravel. The settings are varied, including a haunted house, a tour bus, and an amusement park. I enjoyed the pairing of Pauline and Nona and would love to read a full novel featuring the duo.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2023These sleuths are both elderly, but you wouldn't know it by the number of murders they solve. I enjoyed their bold searches for the culprits. They are funny and clever. Each mystery is full of twists and turns, and sometimes they face danger as they investigate. These were thoroughly enjoyable stories.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2022As a great P.C. James "Miss Riddle Cozy Mysteries" fan, it was a pleasure reading this new series: Sassy Senior Sleuths by P.C. James and Kathryn Mykel.
These six short stories are just the right length and tempo. I especially enjoyed how these two became good friends and continued touring America, only to spend most of their vacations solving crimes and mysteries.
As a true fan of Miss Riddle's Cozy Mysteries, it is the perfect time in her career to have this new sidekick, Nona, mesmerizing us as they continue to team up with more adventures. I give this series five stars. After reading them through in one sitting, I reread them and enjoyed them even more.
Read and Enjoy!!!

The septagenarian sleuths really resonate with me.And out of all the stories I enjoyed The California Adventure the most! The sleuths not only solved mystery but did it with a lot of humor back and forth which brightened my day. I recommend this book to everyone, especially cozy mystery lovers!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars murder, keeping a sense of humour about it all - a cosy read indeed!
Two elderly ladies out to have a nice quiet time, go on some tours, enjoy a beach or a pleasant meal - maybe even a bit of theatre. But murder just keeps following them around. Luckily they have what it takes to get themselves out of trouble and solve the puzzle. The killer hasn’t a hope with these two sleuths. Short stories to keep you entertained!
