Say Cheese Kindle Edition
In a small town teetering on the brink of collapse, will one woman's arrival seal a factory’s fate or open the floodgate for love and redemption?
Elle Robinson's world is literally swept away when a raging flood sends her car careening toward certain doom, only to be rescued by Angela Lane – a spirited, self-reliant, and unexpected savior who pulls Elle back from the edge of calamity.
In the aftermath of their brush with mortality, passions ignite between the two women, mirroring the uncontrollable rise of the floodwaters. However, fate has a wicked sense of humor.
As the storm of their one-night stand recedes, a startling revelation emerges. Angie learns that Elle is the ambitious young business consultant whose arrival could signal the demise of Angie's cherished family cheesemaking business. Will this city girl bring more destruction than the flood? Or could she evolve into the improbable business partner Angie has been waiting for?
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Vermont, award winning authors TB Markinson and Miranda MacLeod bring you a love story that defies convention, challenges expectations, and may just save an entire town.

About the authors
TB Markinson is an American who’s recently returned to the US after a seven-year stint in the UK and Ireland. When she isn’t writing, she’s traveling the world, watching sports on the telly, visiting pubs in New England, or reading. Not necessarily in that order.
Her novels have hit Amazon bestseller lists for lesbian fiction and lesbian romance.

Miranda MacLeod lives in New England and writes heartfelt romances and romantic comedies featuring witty and charmingly flawed women who love women. Before becoming a writer, she spent way too many years in graduate school, made costumes for professional theater and film, and held temp jobs in just about every office building in downtown Boston.
In addition to writing, Miranda is co-owner of I Heart SapphFic, a website dedicated to promoting and celebrating sapphic fiction. - Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2024Miranda and T.B. hands down have to be one of the best writing duo’s in sapphic history. This book has everything in it you need for a fast paced exciting story. It has two lovable main characters who are humorous, hardworking, family oriented and sexy. Angie and Elle had a connection from the first time they looked at each other. But it wasn’t only about their flirty banter, it was about their hopes, their dreams and their heart. A story that pulls you in from the first words until its conclusion. A book I couldn’t put down. This writers duo, Miranda and T.B. are really something special.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2025I loved this book. The description of the devastation with the flood, the cheese factory and everyone coming together to rebuild. Definitely not on the same scale but it brought back memories of hurricane Katrina.
Also the secondary characters were amazing. I loved this book. It was fabulous.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2024Stellar sapphic fiction collaborators Miranda MacLeod and T.B. Markinson have published another engaging novel. Say Cheese brings together two lovable, generous main characters with moms who are long-time friends; a charming small Vermont town populated with craftspersons, specialty shops, artisanal food producers and top restaurants; and an adorable St. Bernard.
It’s a story of families and supportive relationships — if scrumptious cheese-producing Lane Family Creamery thrives then other local dairies and retailers are more likely to thrive, but that means Angie and Elle must make the Creamery more profitable. Lucky for them, they make a pretty great team.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2024When small town Vermont cheesemaker Angie rescues city businesswoman Elle from a dangerous flood, the attraction between them combusts immediately. But after realizing Elle is in town to persuade Angie’s family to sell the business that is her legacy, their romance fizzles under the weight of a serious conflict of interest. Having feelings for each other is the last thing they need, but their hearts have other ideas.
Say Cheese is an adorable and spicy age gap, city girl/country girl romance that amuses, delights, and entertains in every single chapter. Elle and Angie’s immediate chemistry leaps off the page and, despite a host of misunderstandings and prejudices, the attraction grows into an authentic emotional connection that is heartwarming. The small town setting is absolutely glorious with its charming shops, restaurants, and natural beauty; and the side characters, including Angie’s hilariously chaotic family and precious St. Bernard complete this novel’s fun and immersive quality.
No one will need to yell, “Say Cheese!” for this story to leave readers grinning long after turning the last page.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2024Sorry, I couldn't resist the ou I also couldn't resist laughing until I cried at times while reading this book. Martinson and MacLeod are as good together as, well, wine and cheese. Add some fruit to that combo and sit back, relax and enjoy a truly good read.
The characters are fun and you'll find yourself completely invested, not only in their love lives, but also in their success.
If you are not familiar with this dynamic duo, I invite you to explore their other offerings. You will not be disappointed. For those who are acquainted with M & M, I say: looks like they've done it again...and I can hardly wait for the next one.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2024I loved the whole story from rescue to conclusion, no spoilers. Makes me crave some really good cheese and a trip to Vermont. It got my heart glowing.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2024Wonderfully written small town romance! The heat and steam between the MCs was palpable! Pretty low angst with an age gap that couldn’t smother the chemistry.
The one and only thing that had me questioning was that there wasn’t an apology. The anger and reaction was valid but when resolved there was no apology for what was said. Everything else about that scene and the book was amazing but I just kept thinking wait no simple sorry? Oh ok. Then the story flowed and was great.
Highly recommend!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2024Angie lives in a small town and absolutely loves contributing to the community. She also loves keeping Their family 200 year old family legacy alive - Cheese Factory. Ellie has come as her moms family friend to consult on the business. The intro is a live and death situation. This is a good book not to give up hope after heartbreak. Have hope and give your dreams a chance. WW romance

5.0 out of 5 stars The real stuff, not that whiz stuff
I really like Angie and Elli. They were great characters that I could actually fell like I knew. Not exactly being a spring chicken I couldn't see this as an age difference story. Just one about two very different people who have feelings about each other. The two M's have, as usual, written a great F/F story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story
Another great story from this duo - they never disappoint. Loved the main characters including Chester and the setting was wonderful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner
Whilst both of these authors write good stories in their own rights, whenever they collaborate you know you’re going to have a great read. And that’s definitely the case again here.
The main characters are likeable and you’re guaranteed a HEA. And any story where cheese is at the centre has to be a winner …!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very feel good.
This is a light-hearted, uplifting read with all the feels. The MCs are likeable and meant for each other even if they are city v country. There’s nothing like a small town where everyone knows everyone else, there’s a problem or problems to solve, a cute but very large dog, and two opposites heading in the same direction to their HEA.
