SO GOOD OMG. Once I stared reading i couldn't stop, the characters and story drew me in and didn't let go. Sooo I took a wild guess before even opening on the book about who the Vigilante was and I was right, so I wasn't shocked when it was finally shown in the book. What shocked me was that ending. Bc now I literally have no idea whats gonna happen next 😭 Now Luna is a fighter. Even though she knew how much danger she was in she didn't let that slow her down. Hunter was so dreamy. That man was so in love with Luna it was adorable to watch. I felt like they had really good chemistry from the very beginning. This book wasn't filled with spicy scenes but we did get a little bit of it to keep us wanting more. There was a lot of action and crime in this one that there was not one moment where I was bored. The entire book i was at the edge of my seat waiting to see what was gonna happen next. All Luna wants is to free her dad from jail and all Hunter wants is to keep Luna safe. I need to go reas the second book asap bc I have a feeling Hunter, Luna and the Vigilante are gonna put me through it in the next book.

    If you like a vigilante mystery type of read this is it. It's a slow burn as far as romance and the spice is around a three. However this is about a vigilante that's masked and protecting a woman who has multiple killers after her. The only thing I had an issue with is she's a bit too Pro law and any type of killing is just about breaking the law. She's a defensive attorney who falls in love with the district attorney all set in Chicago. It's not a quick read because so much is unfolding and like I said low spice between the two. It's very well written and the vigilante is revealed at the end of this book. Its not a standalone so it's still has a cliffhanger.. Enjoy the book!

    The good:

    •Not predictable. I wasn’t really sure who the vigilante was until the end. I think the author did a good job of keeping the mystery.
    •the beginning was pretty evenly paced. You really feel Luna falling for Hunter.
    •The vigilante is .. unhinged. At one point he says that he can’t believe he has been “missing out on the fun of torture” all this time. This isn’t a case of killing just for the sake of the FMC (like to avenge her). He enjoys it. This part is really well done. You really feel like the vigilante is a sociopath sometimes. The ending makes it seem like Luna will have a normal, fearful reaction, too. Thankfully.

    The okay/not good: Some spoilers.****

    • the flowery langauge — sometimes the descriptions were excessive and distracting. The language often detracted from the point. It worked during kidnappings and other dramatic scenes but other times it just weighed down the writing.
    • why is Luna so naive sometimes? She has a hit on her but doesn’t carry a weapon. Keeps going out into the world like life is normal. She fights Hunter when he wants her to stay over. Why is she not valuing her safety? Idc if you don’t trust him with your heart, the man has a state of the art security system and league of body guards. Stay with him!
    • her obsession with her father’s innocence was obsessive and tiresome. Like, her life is on the line and she’s thinking to herself, “Keep your cool, Luna. Dad needs you to stay alive. Otherwise, he’ll be trapped in prison for the rest of his life.” We get it you want to free your dad but come on, can’t you care about your OWN life for half a second? The single-mindedness got old.
    • I wish the book would’ve gone deeper into her relationships with Sean and Dominic. It would’ve really fleshed out the story. I felt like it was a real missed opportunity.

    Sex was 🔥🔥/5. A few well placed scenes.. at least one felt forced and out of place (like it was thrown in when it didn’t make sense for the story)

    Given some of the thoughts and impulses revealed toward the end, I'm not sure how the author will bring the story full circle, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

    This book was suspenseful. I loved a strong Fmc defense attorney and her sexy prosecutor beau, billionaire. They both had similar trauma that led to their career choice. He was the Iceland but with her Mr. romantic.
    No cheating. Spice scenes were ok.
    The intrigue of the serial killer who saves her several times and her slight attraction to him, at least she's feeling something but he's masked is interesting she's been cheated on betrayed and trust is huge so you know she won't cheat on Hunter Lockwood, yet there's something but the serial killer who only takes out bad men.
    Ends on a cliffhanger when she stumbles upon the serial killer and comes face to face unmasked...Will he kill her since she knows his identity.
    Highly recommend.

Plus the romance between Hunter and Luna was off the charts good! Vigilante was a mystery and had me in the first half but still caught my attention all the same. I lived this book!
