Wow, this was really interesting! The Electi, Quinctus, and all of the other traditions this story involved completely riveted me. Bexley and Mia... although "forbidden", shared something special (in my opinion). They were sweet, sexy, and oh-so-delicious. This book was dark, dirty, and so full of angst. Cade and his minions were NASTY. Their reign was downright devious and ruthless. The initiation, brutal. I never knew what was going to happen next, which had me on the edge of my seat. I don't know all of the pieces that are in play, but I do know there are games happening, and bigger things going on in the background. I can't wait to see how it all plays out... Tbh, I felt a little sick reading the end - it hit me in the gut so hard. Deceived, betrayed, and heartbroken, I could sense all of Mia's feelings in those last few sentences. I am desperate for the next book! 4.5 stars

    I was in a reading slump and this book was everything I needed. It sort of reminded me of the Rydeville elite series by Siobhan Davis. It’s dark, it’s twisted, there’s forbidden love.. I seriously couldn’t get enough!! I ended up binge reading only to find out the second book won’t be released until April 1st!! 😭

    This book is about Mia and a secret society per se. She ends up in an arranged marriage to the “king” of the society. She should be happy, any girl would be but Cade is dark and twisted. Also, it’s in double POV, which I love!

    Bexley arrives at Gravestone unknown of what the towns secrets truly are. He has his own dark past but he’s different from Cade. Bex and Mia hit it off but things take a turn. I was rooting for them but there’s just soo many obstacles. Especially that ending! (Cliffy) it broke my heart but I hope Mia becomes stronger after that and I can’t wait for Bexleys reasoning. Will their love survive? What other obstacles will appear? What other dark secrets will be revealed? I’m anxiously waiting for the next book!!

    Read this book if you’re into dark bully romances with a bit of forbidden love. Also, read with caution because some things might be a trigger.

    “Shattered Legacy” is the first installment in the Gravestone Elite Trilogy. In “Shattered Legacy,” Caitlyn Dare takes us to a parallel universe to Sterling Bay. Meaning, it is part of the Sterling Bay universe, but called Gravestone.

    Gravestone welcomes us to someone we already met in the Sterling Bay books, Bexley (Remi’s ex-boyfriend from the “Taunt Her” book.

    It's part of a trilogy, which means it ends in a cliff hanger. This story focuses on Bexley Danforth and Mia Thompson. Their book can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend starting at the Rebels at Sterling Prep series where Bexley first appears so you can better understand him, his background, and his current situation.

    This book intrigued me in many ways. I couldn’t stop reading it because of the interesting and tense plot that never got boring.

    Obviously, it ends on a cliffy!

    This book has taken me completely by surprise. I’m obsessed. I enjoyed the Sterling Prep series enough, but this book had me hooked from the start. Bexley is definitely an anti hero, like Ace and Cole were. He’s made bad decisions and hurt people and I didn’t really know how he could be redeemed. But he’s done it. He was a bad person and he paid for it, and now he’s changed. He’s still an alpha when pushed, which makes him the perfect ally for Mia.

    The premise is absolutely insane and I love it. Right at the beginning words like Electi and prosapia are being dropped and I’m like, yes, please, sign me up. Arranged marriages, secret societies, virginity hastily given away to prevent it being taken - I LOVE IT. And that ending. I feel genuine pain at having to wait a month to find out what happens

    This book is one dark and twisty ride! We were introduced to Bexley in the Rebels at Sterling Prep series and this certainly gives more insight to Bexley. Mia is the female main character who develops in this book and I hope to see she continues to develop her backbone.

    The storyline is intriguing with the secret society element in the town and the mysteries surrounding it. It is filled with suspense and ends on quite the cliffhanger.  I cannot wait for the next book.

    I loved this. I haven’t read the previous series and I had no problems keeping up (I intend to read it as soon as I’m done with this one!).
    My only issue was the insta love between Mia and Bex wasn’t overly
    convincing, but that really doesn’t matter too much. So many threads to follow in the next book!

    This book actually had an old school secret society in it, with ridiculous cloaks and strange traditions. I loved that it's version of a secret society wasn't just a group of rich families getting together randomly, it had a more mysterious feel to it.

    I came in as a new reader, having not read this author before or the series it spins off from and I don't feel it hindered my experience in anyway.

    Bexley and Mia meet and they just click together, but Bexley is the new guy in town with more secrets than even he realises and Mia has obligations to the society she can’t avoid.

    There is a great cast of side characters, the ones you love to hate, the people who might surprise you and the ones who have the potential to betray you. Its up to the reader to figure out who is who.

    I am now not so patiently waiting for the second book after that crazy cliffhanger. This series had the perfect blend of mystery, danger and romance for me.
