I enjoyed this story of Shep ' s life from a bad home as a puppy to a wonderful and happy home life, no more angry people in his life and now a contented dog with a not so lonely puppy to a grown up dog now. So, for these reasons and a great short story, here is my honest review in return for a free ebook copy. That I wish to recommend for kids ages 3-10 &+ for anyone who enjoys sweet short but very good storyline. Super job Jason! By Angela L .

The story of Shep will delight young and old and it teaches a lesson to children that although a puppy may be overzealous that does not mean that they will be that way always. I love stories that you can give to a child without worrying what they are reading especially young children. This book gets a A++++ from me. I would not mind letting any child who can read this book. I have a older son who has challenges and he will love to read this book.

I loved this little story about Shep, the clumsy puppy. My two grandnieces just had it read to them tonight, and they fell instantly in love with this adorable little dog. They rooted for Shep to get a good place to live and a caring owner. The Happy Man was the perfect solution. I highly recommend this book for young children for a great bedtime story.

I really liked this book and the story it told about Shep a sweet big dog that finds a loving owner and home. It did not start out happy poor Shep like many dogs are owned by the wrong people. They did not treat him well or loving. They dumped him because they did not want to be responsible and give what is needed. In time with help of others good people in the neighbourhood he was placed with a loving new owner a lonely man and together a bond was firmed. SHEP FINDS LOVE. I liked the writers style and it was a quick read.

Shep is a big, clumsy, over-eager puppy who hasn't grown into his own body yet. Shep thinks that he 'bumps' into things and people, rather than biting them. This causes him to get into trouble with his owners. And that's the main problem: Shep's people are his owners and not his family. He really wants a family to love him, as his people are angry all the time, and Shep can never seem to please them. One day, Shep meets Lonely Man and thinks this man just might give him the home and sense of family he's always wanted.

This story starts off with 'Once upon a time' and is told in a very clear, unassuming, and simple way, the way a small child (or dog) might relate a story. The story is spare on some details, and just a few more words showing Shep's way of life at his old home and then at his new home would have been appreciated by this reader. Overall, this little story is enjoyable and has a sweet, feel-good touch to it. When a sad, unwanted puppy finds a home with a sad, lonely man, together they find a real happiness, the kind everyone deserves, even dogs.

I bought the kindle version of this book. Only 30% was actually the story, and the rest was basically just advertising the author and his books. The story was way too simple even to be a child's story, it felt like a book for children learning to read.

This is such a good book about a sweet doggie. How could anyone not love it? Poor Shep, he was shunted around, unloved, and wanted to find a place where he would be welcomed and loved. He kept trying. He was patient, and in the end, he found his forever home. Just a sweet little bedtime story for everybody.
