Shiloh's Rising: The Song of the Cherubim (Shiloh's World) Kindle Edition
The King of kings has returned and established His reign from Jerusalem. A year and one month later, a city called Nalchik in central Asia sets in motion to shake off the King's rule. Led by a charismatic, stubborn leader named Alibeg Akoev, the man sets in motion a plan that seems incredulous--a first in human history--all to find out the truth about Yeshua, who and what He is.
Drawn to the city intent on a resolution and with a prayer echoing in His ear, King Yeshua sets in motion to end the conflict and do something even more profound in Alibeg.
This is another Spirit-Filled Fiction story from the writer of "Shiloh's Rising," "The Jesus Boy." and "The Day Jesus Moved Next Door."

- Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2024Shiloh's Rising: The Song of the Cherubim is an extraordinary blend of celestial drama and human introspection. The author crafts a compelling narrative that weaves spiritual awakening, divine prophecy, and the unyielding power of love in the face of overwhelming darkness. From the opening pages, the reader is transported to a richly imagined world where angelic beings walk among humanity, their struggles and triumphs mirroring our own.
The protagonist, Shiloh, is a captivating character whose journey from uncertainty to self-discovery is relatable and inspiring. The novel's exploration of the Cherubim—a divine order often overshadowed in literature by the Seraphim or Archangels—is refreshingly unique. The author's meticulous attention to biblical lore and creative storytelling bring the Cherubim to life as complex, multidimensional beings with roles that extend far beyond celestial guardianship.
The prose is lyrical yet accessible, evoking a sense of wonder and reverence. Themes of redemption, sacrifice, and the eternal battle between light and darkness resonate deeply, making the book an enthralling story and a reflection of the human condition. The spiritual undertones are seamlessly integrated, appealing to both those familiar with angelic lore and newcomers.
Though the pacing occasionally falters, particularly in the middle chapters, the climactic moments and poignant resolution more than compensate. Shiloh's Rising is a must-read for fans of spiritual fantasy, offering a profound message of hope and resilience in a chaotic world.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2024This short story is a prequel to "Shiloh's Rising" by Sean Elliot Russell. It does a good job introducing the characters and setting, but there are some issues with pacing and voice that need editing.
It could be a great story with professional editing.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2024I found this book inspirational and inspiring--I loved the story it told and the way it made me see Jesus in an entirely new light. I also liked how quickly the story moved--it was a galloping read--and how it felt as the characters started to understand the humility and quiet strength of Jesus. I liked the characters, I liked the fantastical elements--the 4-headed animal was amazing--and I felt touched and moved by the story. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to get inspired about Jesus again--I found myself sort of re-devoted, and I'm grateful for that. This book is a wonderful reminder of how loving and special Jesus is!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2024An interesting and entertaining fictional read on the Second Coming. Russell’s imaginative scenarios of the Second Coming are thought provoking. I found his characters very captivating. I couldn’t put the novelette down, so to speak, as I read half of it in record time. Rereading is a must to better identify with his characters, in my humble opinion. The excerpts that Russell includes from his novel “Shiloh’s Rising” are also likewise very captivating. I would recommend Russell’s novelette to all those who are anticipating the Second Coming of Yeshua. Keeping in mind that Russell’s scenarios are fictitious, we have no idea how the events of the Second Coming will unfold.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2024It was a good novelette however it was predictable, and sometimes repeated descriptive words in the same paragraph/page were distracting. In spite of that though it is definitely worth your time to read this story!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2024A read that stirs emotions and makes you consider the concepts of power as you progress through the reading. - Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2024Shiloh's Rising is a truly captivating read that took me on a powerful journey of faith, spirituality, and self-discovery. The way the author describes the return of Christ is simply awe-inspiring! His portrayal of Yeshua and the believers who came to follow Him gave me chills. I found myself hoping that his vision is close to the truth because experiencing it as he wrote it would be incredible. If you're interested in exploring profound spiritual ideas in an engaging, story-driven way, this book is a beautiful and inspiring choice. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a deeper connection to faith!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2024Russell does a wonderful job getting the reader to believe the time and space he depicts. As soon as I started to read the book, it was like I was transported to the end times (a great subject to take on). Seeing the development of Yeshua and Alibeg Akoev was interesting. One interesting aspect of the novelette was the revealed character of Yeshua. I won’t say too much to spoil it for new readers, but Yeshua’s character was refreshingly more down to earth than I expected. I would easily put this book in the category of C.S. Lewis’s Screwtape Letters—as it gives an interesting, faith-based, and heartfelt investigation of the spiritual inner workings of people’s motives.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Tale of Redemption and Faith
Shiloh's Rising is an exciting and thoughtful story set after the second coming of Christ. The book starts with Christ's return, bringing peace and divine rule from Jerusalem. The story follows four people who survived the great Tribulation, each dealing with their own problems and testing their faith.. The book explores themes of redemption, religion and the battle between good and evil in a world changed by divine intervention.
Russle's vivid and engaging writing draws readers into a detailed post-apocalyptic world where spiritual and physical battles mix. The book is excellent for those interested in end-time fiction, offering a unique view of the millennial reign of Christ and the power of hope.

3.0 out of 5 stars A fantasy novel of the Second Coming
A mildly entertaining novel imagining Christ's return as a worldly leader on a white horse. It opens during a siege of a city which has refused Him tribute--a logical development of the Christian terminology conflating kingship and divinity.
