I know that in my review of Truth, I said that King was everything. But I lied because Luca is EVERYTHING. I mean they’re twins, so they can both be everything, right? Worship is book 2 in Trilina’s Sinful Series and damn was it sinful! We met Luca and Gretchen in Truth, Gretchen is best friends with Drew, she pretends to be Shelby, Luca’s wife in order to get into the hospital when Luca is beaten almost to death. Luca and Gretchen are like magnets, instantly drawn to each other. The friendship build up was probably one of my favorite things about their story. While Luca worked on cleaning up his mess, they talked and texted as friends, getting to know each other. He was beyond thoughtful and sweet to her helping her to work on overcoming her grief. But he was also dominant and possessive. The way he would say sweet and dirty things in Italian, and then when she would demand he tell her in English, he’d tell her one day. I could not put this down. It had me hooked from page 1 - Trilina has perfected her art and I cannot wait to read book 3 - Depraved - in fact, as soon as I finished Worship, I started the first chapter of Depraved and I’m 100% sure it’s going to be another 5 Star read! If you haven’t already, add all 3 of these to your immediate TBR - you won’t be disappointed!

    I didn’t think this series could get any better after reading Truth, but I was wrong. After reading Worship I can say this series is AMAZING!!! This book was even better than Truth and that is saying something because I loved Truth.

    If these first two books in this series are any indication, this series is going to be one of my All Time favorites!!!!

    Worship is the second book in Trilina Pucci’s Sinful Series. It is a complete standalone and told in Dual POV, but I would recommend reading these books in order. I say that because this storyline in this book kind of carries over from Truth. I don’t think you would be lost reading this book out of order, but I feel there are some spoilers in this book for Truth if you haven’t read it first. I loved the flow and pace of this story.

    Worship is a sexy, emotional, and angsty story that will suck you in right from the beginning. I truly didn’t want this story to end. I loved both Luca and Gretchen. Luca is everything you want in a HOT Italian Alpha Hero!!! I loved watching these two form a friendship before venturing into something more. Their chemistry was off the hook ;) I thought Gretchen was the perfect match for Luca, even though their relationship was unconventional, their connection was real!!!

    I loved seeing Dom and Drew in this story and seeing where their future has lead them. I also liked getting to know the other ‘brothers’. I look forward to the other books that are coming in this series!!!

    Trilina Pucci has rocked my socks off with this series so far and I would 100% recommend this books to anyone who likes a great ALPHA male Hero. If you like your books angsty, raw and gritty but with an amazing love story, then these are the books for you!!!

    I found the dynamic between Gretchen and Luca fascinating in the first book in this series, Truth, so I was excited to get to read their story in Worship. It was not quite what I expected, but also in a lot of ways exactly what I hoped for. Their relationship was often difficult to understand, even while I could plainly see how much they both needed what they got from one another.

    Cheating has never been a hard line for me, but in Worship, it was especially a non-issue. The details of Luca’s relationship with his wife were complex and unsavory. Gretchen’s inclination to refuse to have more than a friendship with Luca while he was still legally tied to another woman said a lot for the type of person she was. Especially in light of the intense emotional connection, she shared with him. I loved that they built their relationship as friends because I always find that type of mutually respectful relationship much more solid and lasting than those based purely on sexual attraction.

    My heart hurt for Luca for most of the book. He had placed himself in such a painful situation, and he didn’t seem to fathom how badly his intentions were hurting him. I completely understood his compulsion for retribution, but I hated that he was suffering for it. He needed the clarity only Gretchen could provide him to see what he was doing to himself, just as she needed his support to face the things she’d been avoiding under the guise of protecting herself.

    I have a few wishes for Worship, the first being some minor editorial issues need to be addressed. This book was better edited and had more coherent voices than its predecessor, but there were a handful of things that needed to be fixed. I also felt like Gretchen’s ultimatum came out of nowhere. At no time did she indicate that was anything that bothered her, and if she’d had such a problem with the issue at hand it would have come up long before that moment. It just felt out of place and uncharacteristic for someone so outspoken to have not mentioned it before dropping that bomb on Luca. There is also a little bit of a timeline issue. After the prologue the book started six months ago, then a few weeks – maybe a month and a half pass – and when we get to the present only two more months have passed. It just felt disjointed and careless not to address the actual length of time that had passed when it could have been an easy fix.

    Worship is the second book in Trilina Pucci’s Sinful series. These books are interconnected standalones and don’t need to be read in completion (though I think it’s worth it, just to get to know the ‘family’ relations). Worship is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Gretchen and Luca.

    Lucas and Gretchen were first introduced to us in book 1 of this series 'Truth' and even then you knew their story was going to be off the charts and it is!

    Lucas in a complicated marriage to woman he isn't living with, rising his 6 month old daughter who he loves to the moon back and trying to sort out the family business (mafia) then add in Gretchen who won't sleep with a married man no matter the tricks Lucas has up his sleeve and you are in for a great reading experience.

    Lucas becomes the rock and friend that Gretchen needs when coming to terms with the death of her father and she shows Lucas that sometimes there is more to life than just revenge. I loved the friendship side of this story as it was told beautifully and was woven so well into the overall story!If you love books by, Natasha Madison, Lacey Black, Kristen Proby, Kelly Elliott, Kaylee Ryan you will love this book.
