    I KNOW I have said this before about Charity Parkerson's books: You think you know a character (from a previous book in the series). You know them and you loathe them. But you don't have the full picture. This talented author reveals the whole picture and suddenly your opinion of the character changes and it doesn't feel like a trick or a gimmick. It feels completely genuine. I adore the meshing of this book with events from the last book. You do NOT have to read these books in order but it will certainly add to your enjoyment if you do.

    Kaz has lost his best friend whom he loved. Boston is a total jerk but these two don't act the same with each other as they do with others. They have a connection that shocks them both. "It's not that I don't love you. It's that you'll never love me."

    There are things to work out and the road to forever isn't smooth. But like all good Parkerson romances, you know they are going to make it. They get their HEA and, awww. :) Hot sexy times in this book, and some great dialogue and comments, too. Some of my favorites:

    "I have what you need," Boston said....It was true. Boston had everything Kaz required -- like oxygen.

    "I have a feeling I've been in love with you way longer than you've loved me. You saved me."

    And a glimpse into the Kaz-Liam friendship:
    Kaz answering his phone, after letting Liam know he wasn't working at his nightclub job: "Hello?"
    "You're not whoring yourself or killing people for money, are you?"

    When the next book in the series becomes avaiilable it will be a pre-order for me. Pretty much like every book by this author.

    "I can make you moan and beg. Maybe I can pull a few minutes of ecstasy from you, but I don’t make you happy."

    I needed something short and familiar to read between new books, so here we are.

    This is difficult to rate. Maybe objectively it's a 3-star, but I've re-read it a bunch of times, and I enjoyed it so much, a small part of me wants to rate it a 5, which means I'm already compromising. So, abandon all logic ye who enter here and you'll be fine. And that applies to the book as well.

    I don't know how or why, but these two are unbelievably hot together. They're sexy, conflicted, passionate, unhealthy, and somehow...just adorable.

    Kaz is kind of plain but sweet, deeply unhappy, and a little melodramatic about it. Boston is the ultimate manipulative bad boy everyone loves to hate, even though literally everything he does shows he's a pretty stand-up guy. This relationship was set up in the previous book, but it's just one scene. Still, even though their book #1 story arc (view spoiler) was already a bit soap opera-ish, it was pretty seductive.

    Between the two books they keep hooking up, so it feels a bit like instalove, but we get a lot of relationship development in this book. It doesn't really matter because, whenever there's a glaring plot hole or inconsistencies, we get a pretty plausible explanation. Sometimes those explanations make it worse, but you just ignore that because the chemistry between these two is wild, and at that point you're already too invested. The romance is hot and intense, there's a lot of push and pull, codependence and possessiveness.

    Now that I think about it, mostly I didn't give it five stars due to the fact that the writing could have been more polished, and the characters needed more depth. Or maybe they had depth, but there's a lot of retconning in the series. While I'm not against that, and I think it can add to the appeal to see a completely new side to a character, here it happens too often and so drastically that it makes things less believable and a little shallow.

    Anyway, why isn't this a common trope?! I need more books with jilted exes getting together for their own epic romance that transcends the original one!

    Another page-turner from Ms Parkerson.

    Kaz has had his fair share of heartbreak, and it looks like his love for Boston will end the same way—he totally expects it to. I was engaged from the first word to the last in this fast-paced romance. All the characters were well drawn, and I cared about them, even bad-boy Boston. I love how the author shows you life through their eyes—their fears, their passion, their dreams. I wanted a happy ending for Kaz and Boston, but I'll let you read the book to see what happens. Oh, and the sex was, well, hot and sexy. If you enjoy M/M romance, you will love this!

    One of these days I will stop doubting Charity Parkerson. I don't know of any other author that can make me fall so hard for a character that I was sure I thoroughly disliked as much as I did Boston. In Clinch, book 1 in the Low Blow series, we meet both Kaz and Boston. Kaz is Liam's ex and Boston is Gunnar's ex. Kaz I liked, a LOT. Boston? Not so much.

    In Slip, Ms Parkerson shows us a totally different side of both men. I'll be honest, there were times I wanted to smack one or both of these men and there were other times that I had no idea how the author was going to pull it off. But pull it off she does. We get to see a side of these men that they keep hidden from everyone else. Sides that only they see. Will they be able to overcome all the obstacles in their path to find a love neither of them thinks they deserve? Will you be rooting for them like I was? Will you fall for these broken men as hard as I did? I think you will! And I hope it sucks you and won't let you go just like it did for me.

    Some of my favorite lines that aren't spoilers:
    **The way Boston's blue gaze followed Kaz's every move, as if waiting to pounce, had Kaz's blood singing.**
    **"I wouldn't let you be alone"**
    **"Your mind is beautifully brilliant. It might take your mouth anywhere."**
    **"Everyone. They'll all hate you for loving me."**

    I was so excited to read this book.. when I met Boston and Kaz in book 1 I just one it was gunna be one great read <3
    I devoured this book in a few hours.. once I started it I couldn't put it down.. it gripped me from page 1
    I really disliked Boston in book 1 for what he did to Gunner and Liam, but he definitely redeemed himself in this book, I got to know the real Boston and he really is a nice guy underneath
    These two guys are freaking amazing together <3 the is nit one this I didn't like about this book.... it was perfect <3
    Now onto book 3 :) I can't wait to read Aden`s story and I'm looking forward to catching up with Gunner and Liam, Boston and Kaz <3
