Bookbub Reviewers:

A box set of brilliant books by a brilliant author. With the background set in the Napoleon wars, these war weary veterans are coming back to join society while trying to catch spies that are still active in trying to over through the British Crown. Some heroes are retuning due to injuries and others are due to family responsibilities. Each book is a standalone read that does ensure a happy every after. Rose Pearson writes sweet and easy to read books that are very popular. I would recommend her other books too!

Always An Entertaining Story With some Twists and Happiness. Sweet and Clean Regency reads all!

I read each of these books individually & loved each one. A mix of suspected spies, intrigue, suffering & of course love. Each book in itself is an interesting & entertaining read but together make for a lovely boxset.

You never know who is a spy and who isn't! Each story has uniquely different characters who are all well written with interesting story lines. There are plenty of surprises, spies, twist and turns to go around for each story. You can't go wrong with this collection!

Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

Rose has read her way through countless romances over the years, “borrowing” them from her older sisters, and hiding them from her mother (Mom didn't like the sexy book covers!)

She has a special love for Regency romances and when she began writing, the Regency period was a natural place to start. The ton, the wealthy families, the Season, the dilemmas, and yes, the marriages, have always fascinated her. She loves a happy ever after! Now she is happy to bring this passion to her stories and share it with her readers.

On a personal note, Rose lives in North Carolina, is married, and has a terrier that barks too much. She enjoys taking him for walks to tire him out!

Rose Pearson is my favorite Regency Romance writer. This box set dels with ladies and gentleman falling in love during Napoleon’s was against England. There are excellent romantic novels.

After the second book I noticed a downward motion to the plot, and heroes! Ever book had the same basic female heroine--one that had been abused by father, brother, family in some manner.
Every book had the hero ex-soldiers who were "relentlessly searching for French sympathizers amongst the nobles of England. AND each book the hero would moan--"OH IF ONLY I could find a list of the Nobles who are helping the French!"
THEN in the last book--the poor hero is poisoned two times!!! AND falls in love with yet another "abused" woman who gathers her courage and sends him a LIST OF NOBLE MEN. WhAT does our fearless soldier say? "WHY WOULD LADY VIOLET SEND ME A LIST OF NOBLE MEN'S NAMES??
I WANTED TO YELL---DUH----DUH DUMMY!!! What have you prayed you'd find???? DUH!!!! STUPID MAN! I just felt totally let down by this series that started out so good.

This charming set of books drew me in from the first book to the last, many characters playing a part in subsequent books after their introduction. Intelligently written, the clever plots and characters earn the reader's respect and disgust, depending on their roles.
Box sets can often become repetitive but that is not the case when being swept into one of Rose Pearson's novels. I believe you'll go away happy, as the author says, since happy endings are not just for the characters but equally for the readers!

Rose Pearson, well-known for writing Regency romances and especially boxed sets, gives us another in this boxed set. The stories are somewhat repetitious, but enjoyable. We can depend on Ms Pearson to give us clean and wholesome romance.

This is a great series, and have never read a Rose Pearson book I didn't love and yet found edifying as well. Excellent writing and research. I highly recommend this author, and this set is a great bargain!

Can’t say enough about this set of 5 books. Intrigue. Romance. Balls. Soirées. No graphic scenes. Up all night reading. Again

“Soldiers and Sweethearts: A Sweet Regency Romance Boxset” by Rose Pearson
    5 easy sweet clean reads
I read these stories as individual books. I individually rated them 4 and 5 star reads. I enjoyed reading each of them, and as is reasonably expected some more than others… and yes, what else is going on in my world does impact how much I enjoy a story. I think they are all worthy reads… IF you like sweet clean Regency era romance stories. This review expresses my honest opinion. Happy Reading ! !

This boxset has so many great, not so great and those who are not liked when it comes to characters. There are so many emotions in each book and yes some are better than others, (the only 1 I gave a 3 star to was number 2, and that was only because to me there were several repeats on certain things throughout the story line.) The other books received 4+ stars. This is a set you will continue to have in your to be read again pile/folder.

3.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully written but……

Frustrating read as though the flow was easy and it was well written the idiocy and lack of intelligence in the main characters and the plot itself made this only a three star read when the rating was generous. I hate seeing a series being let down by what is clearly a poor final story line.
