A little bit about the author

While I did briefly teach English as a second language, I'm not a professional language teacher or academic. I am a mom and a corporate exec who works with people from all over the world, and I've studied several languages myself. I developed this approach of combining stories with bilingual formatting especially for people like me who study language for enjoyment. I hope you find it similarly practical and easy!

Hello, I’m Vallerie Wilson. I am the author of a series of bilingual story books, which bring together my experience studying multiple languages as a student, as well as my past position as an English teacher.

My teaching days were back before I became the mother to two kiddos, who inspired my parenting book, "Talking To Preschoolers About Sex, Death & Money."
