- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2017This Stinkwaves edition has been our favorite so far and not just because it featured one of my spooky poems and my daughter's illustrations. The stories were just what my son was after and we all love reading the introduction from the Storyteller Guy in each issue too. My son's favourite piece in this edition was Lone Visitor by Denny Marshall. My daughter enjoyed Nightmare Magic and especially enjoyed seeing her drawing of a tombstone on the opposite page. This is a great magazine for kids and adults of all ages and just the thing for getting the whole family reading together.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2017From haiku to short stories, this magazine has a wide variety to interest its young readers. Happy Halloween to the young reader!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2016Very fun to read.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2017When I was a kid, we had reading books in class with different stories we had to read aloud and answer questions about. Usually, the stories were boring or had some deep moral message. Very rarely were they ever exciting. Sometimes they also had poems, but they were usually vague and uninteresting.
Stinkwaves reminds me of what a reading book should be. It has interesting stories, pictures throughout, and poetry that is NOT boring. I think kids would find reading more enjoyable if they had a reading book like this. Kids who hate reading might actually like it. The large size of this issue of Stinkwaves insures that readers won't have to pull out their microscopes to read tiny print. The illustrations in this issue have a Halloween kind of feel to them and add to the stories and poetry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely delightful read for adults with a good inner youngster (I am 106 years old)
Absolutely delightful read for adults with a good inner youngster (I am 106 years old). My favourite is "the Short Straw" by Irene Mathias - I would love if this was published as a stand alone book with magical illustrations to support it. I found it reaching for my kind-scary creative side (which takes a lot to awaken). A million thanks with magical sparkles!
