Barney was having a hard time adjusting to the children's care. Theo and Barney are drawn together and it seems the children take to her instantly. Such a lovely story that just kept me turning the pages, waiting to see what would happen next! Jude is amazing with her historical knowledge and insightful creation of characters. Simply marvelous!
