    You can practically smell the earthy goodness of the forest in Haley’s writings. From the artsy techy app Kara was creating, to how beloved Jace’s family is in town, to his friends coming to help Kara (and rough up Brad) the perfect dream of a man having a mountain hideaway and knows how to cook, this book hits all the marks!

    Found by the Surly Ranger is the third book in the Wolfe Mountain Men series. This is a is a rush from the start to the end, with some danger, suspense, intense passion, and love between a woman on the run and the man who rescues her before she gets in even more trouble. Kara has gone off-grid and ended up camping on Wolfe Mountain. But she is out there and not quite sure what she is doing. This is when Jace, as in the Wolfe family who owns the mountain, finds her and decides he cannot let her freeze to death in the coming storm or get into an even worse situation. So he takes her back to his cabin and quickly discovers her true reason for being out there in the first place. He is determined to keep Kara safe and protected, even when danger comes to town searching for her. Kara may have made a life in the city but she quickly realizes that maybe the mountains is where she really belongs, curled up next to the surly mountain man.

    Jace and Kara meet when she's on the run. As the unofficial forest ranger, Jace comes across Kara's illegal campsite just before a cold front comes in. Kara decides to trust his offer of warmth and shelter as long as it comes without any way of tracking her. Not only is Jace dying to know her story, but also wants to get to know her. Kara is feeling safe for the first time in a long time. How could she not fall in love? An HEA with epilogue romance. Looking forward to the secondary characters' stories.

    This was a pretty good story with likeable characters. The storyline was ok. I liked that the h was on the run, in trouble, and the H was immediately protective of her. However, the reason she was on the run was kinda lame and wasn't really dangerous in my opinion. The confrontation with the bad guy was anticlimactic and again, lame.
