Starring Lily Sutton and Tarquin Bellingham Tropes: Non-Peer Hero and Heroine, Working Class Hero and Heroine, Illegitimate Hero, Enemies to Lovers-ish Once again I laughed… I sighed… I ugly cried af!! Which is no surprise because it’s a Scarlett Scott story…. it’s the wonderful qualities I expect in her beautiful stories. Tarquin and Lily’s love story will leave you giddy. I love their “I have to resist you, but I can’t” passion … Omigosh I giggled so much. Until I started fanning myself… because the love making scenes between these two are combustible!! The whole “queen” thing… get out!! That was hawt!! The epilogue had my heart with this one. I was a puffy eyed mess. Hopefully someday Marianne will have a story… when she’s all grown up. I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily review it and the comments are 100% my own. My Star Rating: 5 stars Ugly cried AF. Major book hangover. Characters and storyline were freaken amazeballs. Made me wanna hug the author for writing a book that gave me all the feels!! Will definitely be reading this story over and over and over again!!

    I eagerly await each Sinful Sutton book, knowing it will be a new favorite. Scarlett Scott has outdone herself with Tarquin and Lily’s romantic journey. Lily is the youngest sister in the Sutton clan. Protected fiercely by her brothers, Lily is still wild, fearless, and has a heart of gold. Tarquin Bellingham, the owner of the most famous shop in London, is also the illegitimate son of a Duke. Tarquin is desperate for acceptance by his father and society. Tarquin has closed off emotionally to marrying the lady of his father’s choosing. That is until sparks fly between Tarquin and Lily. The couple collides in a battle of wills and hearts.

    When I read a Scarlett Scott book, I know I will get unbridled passion and breathtaking romance. What I love most, though, is all the little nuances in her writing. There is always subtle humor laced throughout, which balances the romance perfectly. Also, I love how animals, children, or both feature in many of her books. These adorable side characters give an added warmth to the story. These are some of the most well-balanced steamy reads I have encountered. Each aspect of this book is blended perfectly to create breathtaking romance.

    Tarquin and Lily stole my heart! Their interactions breathe warmth and passion into the storyline. The plot moved quickly, and I couldn’t put the book down. Sutton’s Scandal is the sixth book in The Sinful Suttons series. Logan! I am biting my nails for your book! These roughshod gaming hell-owning siblings have been a delight to read. I have read many of Scarlett Scott’s excellent books, which keep improving. Tarquin and Lily will sear the page and keep you reading late into the night. I suggest reading all of the Sinful Suttons (or even starting with its predecessor, the Wicked Winters). I believe if you do, like me, you’ll become an avid fan of Scarlett Scott and her beautiful books! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through the author.     You get a good general sense of what shapes these characters through their internal thoughts and, in Lily’s case, by having read the previous books. However, the details are shallow.

    For example, there is a very interesting story as to how Tarquin’s mother and the Duke interacted and how Tarquin himself navigated his bastardy up until his store is purchased.

    And how did Lily get involved with the foundling hospital? How was it that her brothers were clueless to her
    activities which, by the way, were extremely reckless.

    Despite these observances, the book was quite good, and I look forward to the next book in the series.

    Lily views herself as a Robin Hood. Bellingham is the bastard son of s Duke who seeks to control his life and puppet him. He’s a self made man who made the mistake of taking a loan from his father with many strings attached. Into his life comes Lily who feels she is righteously taking revenge on a wrong he’s done. Their dialogues are historically written in the time periods language which adds interest to the story. Their perspectives are intertwined with events in book 4 and book 5. If you have read the series in order it can be a bit confusing as in book 5 when Wolf begins his romance Hart has already begun his betrothal, but in book 6 Hart has first arrived with Emma and she is still at the Sinners Palace. I think book 6 should have been book 5 and then 5 should have been 6. But that’s just me. This story moves rapidly and the emotional tension is high. Bellingham is an interesting character with some interesting quarks. Scarlett Scott’s use of language is exquisite and this story is very engaging as both characters draw you in. I suggest reading the series in order.
