Sweet Paper Flowers (A Sweet Cove Mystery Book 25) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 990 ratings

This is book 25 in the Sweet Cove paranormal cozy mystery series by USA TODAY Bestselling Author J.A. Whiting.
A cozy mystery with recipes.

It is late September in the cozy seaside town of Sweet Cove, Massachusetts.

Courtney and Rufus have tied the knot, and the family is enjoying the lovely weather and having free time without a wedding to plan, at least until Chief Martin shows up at the Victorian mansion requesting their help with an unusual case. Someone has been murdered, and it seems the killer has left behind several flowers made from paper. What does it mean? What is the significance of the paper flowers?

Mystery is swirling around Sweet Cove and its neighboring towns, and the Roseland sisters, Mr. Finch, Chief Martin, and two fine felines must put their heads together again to solve the strange mystery before others lose their lives.

I've been reading this series since I came across the first one in Kindle Unlimited. I love the mild overtones of psychic overtones of the main characters and never those precious cats Euclid and Circe ever watching over their persons and ready to jump in paws and claws first to defend them from the dangers they encounter helping Chief Martin. Don't ever end this series. To me it's your very best.

When Chief Martin asks the Roseland Sisters for help of a murder and when paper flowers are found could it lead back to a mystery over 40 years ago? Another great story and looking forward to many more.

There is a new mystery to be solved. It actually is more than one mystery spanning 40 years. Are they connected? I appreciate the way the sisters work together with the police to gather clues. The descriptions of the town events and the fall weather make me want to visit such a place. I especially enjoy the love and closeness of the large family and friends, including their beautiful felines.

I could hardly wait for book 25 to be published. But this was a letdown for me. It was pretty boring in parts. There were multiple times when the book only focused on the interpersonal relationships between the family. Over and over, there were detailed descriptions of the gatherings. Plus, how grateful they were for each other and the memories they were making. The actual story was minimal.

I have binged read all 25 mysteries. Sweet. The mysteries are tangled and at times eerie. I find that Angie appears as the lead protagonist. Hopefully one of the other sisters will get to lead. There is little sex but lots if family and friends. Am a great fan of the cats.
