    I found I had to put the book down and go for a walk a few times to cool down. I am new to Emily Hayes’ writing and trust me I will be reading much more! The story was well written the characters brought to life the heat of their relationship delightfully and my imagination definitely came alive. To me that is the sign of a good writing. There could have been a little more unease written in regarding the final confrontation but otherwise, an enjoyable read. I do recommend that any interested in Sapphic romance buy and read, then tell their friends to do the same. I am off to read the next in the series!

    This is the first book of Emily Hayes’s that I’ve read and I have to admit, I am somewhat disappointed.

    The story felt so rushed to me. And for the main characters to go from meeting to marriage in less than 200 pages? It felt unrealistic. There was such potential here for this story - there could have been some real emotional upheaval for the two to face together. Instead, Madison ran away then came back and decided to not talk about the issue, like an adult

    I just wonder what planning went into The CEO. I found a spattering of errors, from a poorly structured sentence to using different spellings for one character’s name. There were just enough mistakes that I found it noticeable.

    However, the story was solid - not entirely believable but it was a nice little sapphic romance with a perfect bow tie ending. I’m keen to keep reading this series.
