      Great Start to the Series
I loved this prequel to the Etherya's Earth Series! We are taken on a journey back in time when the Vampyres and Slayers are at war, but during this time Alrec and Kilani find love....a forbidden love. Oh how I love this world that Rebecca Hefner has created. There once was a time where the Vampyre and Slayers lived in harmony but since the "Awakening" they have been at war. Kilani is a badass woman that doesn't care that she is an aristocrat and wants to learn to fight and stand by the men defending their kind against the Vampyres, this is where she meets Alrec for the first time. Then five years later she finds herself helping him heal after he's been injured by Demons. During the time they spend together they grow close, as close as two can get and they fall in love but can these two make it work? Only one way to find out...grab your copy today! I highly recommend this book to those that enjoy Steamy Paranormal Romances, Inter-species Romances, or Forced Proximity Romances. Happy Reading!!!

Interesting series prequel. I enjoyed how strong willed that the female lead character is. She didn't let her father dictate her life. Her father is a real piece of work I tell ya. Sounds like it will be a good series to listen to.

This is a well told story with great character development and a believable story line. Kilani and Aldrich are immortals and eternal enemies. Circumstances cause their paths to crash into each other and the story evolves from there. The world view is clear from the narrative and dialogue. Two races at war.
Kilani, a pawn in her fathers machinations seizes the chance to escape and flees after a deadly fight in which…
Alrec, a soldier in the opposing army, let’s her live when faced against her.
Years later she’s free but in exile and rescues a certain man. Against her better judgement, even though he sparred her life, she returns the favor.
I mean she could have just left him to the daylight. He’s Vampyre after all.
How does this end? Of course they get to know one another but they both that it can never be. She’s supposedly dead in her from fleeing her father and he is a soldier against her people.

In the end, this is their love story.

This is the prequel to Etherya’s Earth series, and it’s a fantastic start. It establishes the characters, their history with slayers, vampires, and the demons that inhabit this world. The romance between Kilani and Alrec is both sweet and genuine, with a slow burn that builds into undeniable passion. Their chemistry is sizzling, and off the charts. The author did a great job setting up the plot for the rest of the series, and I’m excited to dive into book one. I really hope the series delves deeper into Kilani and Alrec’s journey. I listened to the audio version, and Zachary Zaba, the narrator, was amazing—his voice was captivating and left me eager for more.

In our world women are weak, we are meant to serve our chosen duties and be quiet but since the awakening I’ve changed, I can no longer deal with this existence. We met in an attack from his Vampyre clan on my people and he saved my life now I am Indebted to him, but I certainly never believed I could ever feel anything but hatred for him….

I’ve never read this series before or this author but once I read the description it sounded exactly like the change of pace I needed and it felt good to jump back into fantasy again. This was a short little prequel novella and I enjoyed every second of it.

Kilani is a aristocrat slayer who is every bit feisty as she is stubborn, she takes crap from absolutely no one even her high raked father who has destined a life for her she does not want. She will do anything for her people and wants nothing more then to help them move forward to a world not so full of hatred and war that they have been stuck in for far too long. Alrec is a warrior, a soldier who lost all of his family in the awakening and just wants to uphold their memory and legacy.

When these two meet even though its in an attack and she is ready to kill him, Alrec can’t help but to be memorized by this golden halo goddess. This is definitely a insta love per say type of story but honestly I didn’t mind at all, it fit the story well and just made sense. They are two people who against all odds and rules can not be together, their very relationship is forbidden and their kinds are not meant to connect. But the very start you are rooting for them and just wish they could say screw everyone else we belong together!

This was a short, sweet, push and pull story with the one bed trope that now has me hooked and dying to read the rest in the series!

The plot twist I secretly prayed for didn't happen but overall very good book. I'd read the ebook now that I've listened to the audiobook because I liked it that much!

I've read all of Rebecca's other books under her pen name so it was time to try this series! I loved this prequel, I've not read any of the other books in the series yet so this is my first one. I loved Kilani and Alrec and how their relationship developed. I love it when the guy is tough on the outside but when he finds his other half you see a really soft side. I need my own Alrec 😍. There is a bonus scene that you can get at the end of the book if you sign up for Rebecca's newsletter and I'm glad I did ❤️❤️. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series 🙂

Kilani is a slayer but women are not allowed to fight in her world. Alrec is a vampyre soldier, he meets Kilani in the battle field and is impressed by her beauty and skills so he does not harm her, letting her go. Years later, Kilani has moved to the outskirts of the town when she reconnects with Alrec who is injured and she nurses him back to health, falling in love in the process.

Wow! Okay I was a little let down by this novella, until I did some digging and realised this was a prequel for a whole series - which made so much more sense! I reread it with that in mind and here are my thoughts.

I love Kilani. I do. Who doesn’t love a bada$$ female warrior who deserves the world and more for being stuck for eternity in a universe where misogyny and tradition limit the bounds of what can be done for the war currently raging.
This novella was fast paced, easy to digest, even easier to understand (fantasy series’ can be so difficult sometimes so this was PERFECT), and overall had me giggling to myself like a schoolgirl at how sweet and cutesy everything was.

My only qualm with it, and this is purely from my perspective, is the language used. It’s clear this world is set far off from present day, so it took me most of the book to get used to the terminology and dialect used, due to it’s aged and dated origins (I sound so intelligent whilst saying nothing at all haha!)

Overall, loved it and I’m definitely going to look into getting the rest of the series!

So, I actually listened to the audio book of this as I wanted to read but my eyes needed to rest - but I'm so glad I did as it was wonderfully done.

The Dawn Of Peace is a fantastic prequel to the Etherya's Earth Series. It's packed full of love, honour and of course vampyres and slayers. It's a steamy read, and you'll 100% love Alrec. He's witty, funny and definitely knows how to please Kilani.

Definitely read this if you're after a fantasy world with vampires and to completely escape the real world.

This was a new author for me and a series I had not read before. This novel is a prequel to the Etherya's Earth series, and although I know nothing of the world, I was able to enjoy it like a standalone. Most of this book is romance, which I enjoy...but I wish there was a little more world-building involved.

Overall it was an enjoyable read and had some pretty spicy moments I won't forget anytime soon. It seemed to be a good introduction to the series and I will be reading the rest of the books!
