Trouble in Paradise: Stranded together on an island paradise, could enemies become lovers? Kindle Edition
Maddy Osbourne's first encounter with Hugo Griffin could not have been more embarrassing. It got worse when, flying to her godmother's house on St Vincent, engine trouble forced him to bring his sea-plane down in the lagoon of an uninhabited island.
With no radio they are forced to fend for themselves until someone sends out a search party to rescue them. Meanwhile, Griff isn't a man to do all the work while a woman he'd decided is a pampered and ill-mannered rich girl sits back and waits for him to wait on her.
He had her so wrong!
Maddy knew what it was to be poor, and she'd worked hard to build up her own business, but she'd never fished for her own supper and the bivouac she'd had to build for herself collapses in the middle of the night.
She gradually wins Griff round with her determination not to rely on him for anything but, just as paradise seems within reach, she discovers that he's been lying to her.
Maddy has been lied to before and once she discovers the truth, she doesn't wait for help to arrive.

Maddy Osbourne's first encounter with Hugo Griffin was as Maddy was dumping her boyfriend. He was trying to propose to her with an antique ring, which was 100% not her and for sure not her color.
Griff felt she was a spoiled rich girl would did not have good intentions and had to have her way. That Maddy was a pampered and ill mannered rich girl. Maddy felt that Griff was only after her godmother's money.
Griff was flying Maddy to her godmother's house on St. Vincent and the plane went down. Maddy finds a check made out to Griff from her godmother and the amount was high. It sealed her thoughts that yes he was after her godmother's money.
Maddy does know what it is like to be poor and she has worked hard to build up her own business. Sure she never fished for her own supper or prepared her own shelter for the night.
Liz Fielding described the story so you 100% felt like you were right there seeing it and living it. She knew that Maddy would have to prove herself and show Griff that Maddy was stronger then what he felt she was.
Maddy proved without a doubt that she had more talents and ways to provide and that she was not willing to be lied to again.
Plan to keep reading and turning the page till done with the book. It will hold your interest for sure.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2017From the moment they meet, Maddy and Griff have sparks flying ... sparks of dislike! The plot has them at each others throats a lot, but they can't deny the attraction they feel for very long. A fun read!
Maddy Osborne has worked hard for what she has, and when bad timing leads Hugo Griffin to think that she's a mean and rude person, she is bothered by that. He keeps twisting things that she says and makes it clear he thinks she's not worthy of his attention. When he is tasked with flying her to her godmother's house, the plane has engine problems and they are forced to make an emergency landing on Paradise Island.
Griff isn't planning to let this pampered princess sit on her duff and have him wait on her while they are on this deserted island fending for themselves. He sets out to teach her what hard work is all about, but before long, he's realizing she's not exactly what he thought she was ... and about the time he's starting to fall for her, she discovers the secrets he's been keeping!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2017Trouble In Paradise is an updated, “new” release of a book previously published by Ms. Fielding. I have to say, I am most impressed that it IS truly a story for today’s times. The story is current; the cultural icons are up to date…you won’t even realize it has been updated! The thing that works through the years is a love story. It still has a stubborn heroine and a stubborn hero – all in a good way, of course. Short recap is Maddy Osbourne is a hardworking business owner who also happens to be the daughter of a self-made wealthy father. Won’t give any spoiler details but she gets thrown together with “Griff” (Hugo Griffin), they have some troubles with a plane/flight…and their story plays out on a deserted island. (I’d LOVE to visit that island, too!) Really simple recap but if I say anymore, it will give details you should discover yourself. Quick read, good story, and great setting.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2017Liz Fielding puts Hugo Griffin and Maddy Osborne, two extremely stubborn people together. Maddy comes from an wealthy home and is used to getting everything she wants. Previously her contact with Griff forced them to despise each other so when Griff is hired to fly her to her godmother these two have to sit in a plane together with all the animosity present. However no matter how much they dislike each other they must learn to live together for awhile as their plane is forced to land near an uninhabited island. Maddy and Griff need to let go of their feelings and work together for survival. Liz Fielding always writes a story that you don't want to put down and you will enjoy how she gets both Maddy and Griff to smooth out all their rough edges. A great read.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2017This was a story with just the most beautiful setting an Island called Paradise with a very strong hero Griff who has no intention of falling for the heroine Maddy but nature has a way of taking over in the lives we live. I really enjoyed this story there are many ups and downs and tense moments as Griff and Maddy work each other out so make yourself comfortable for a great journey.
Maddy Osbourne comes across as a spoilt little rich girl, well that is the impression Hugo Griffin has of her when they first meet so when Maddy ends up being flown to her Godmother’s house on St Vincent by Griff and the plane goes down near the island of Paradise their stay is not all fun in the sun but there is a very sensual pull between them but Maddy tries hard to fight it you see she has been hurt before and has no intention of leaving herself open to that hurt again.
Griff has worked hard to get to where he is today and comes across as hard and rude at times, he is determined to teach miss high and mighty that she will need to work as hard on the island as he does until they are rescued, but along the way Griff uncovers another Maddy a Maddy that he could very well love.
I did enjoy this one Griff is a bit arrogant at times but Maddy stands up to him so well, I loved the sensual pull and tension between them the give and take as they learn about each other and when Maddy learns the truth about Griff and finds her way home then the chase is on for Griff to find her and prove his love which will have you smiling. I recommend this one to all romance readers who like a good chase and of course MS Fielding is an auto buy author for me I love her stories. This is one of MS Fielding’s older stories and I could feel that feel from the older stories which bought back lots of memories for me.

I'm never disappointed by a Liz Fielding novel. She just gets better and better. The hero and heroine spark off one another against a fabulous tropical background which I recommend you visit for yourself.

So fast paced, that chucks appear to be missing. The story is too far-fetched.
