About the author

Moses Tai is a poet, changemaker, and founder of African Development Choices (ADC), a UK-based non-profit dedicated to reducing poverty through better public finance and community-driven solutions.
Born and raised in Huruma Estate, Eldoret, Kenya during the 1980s, Moses experienced poverty not as theory, but as daily reality. Even as a child, he questioned the systemic failures that denied his community essential services — questions that would later fuel his life’s mission.
After moving to the UK in 2008, Moses encountered public systems that, while imperfect, largely protected dignity. This contrast inspired over a decade of research that culminated in the founding of ADC in 2019. Through grassroots projects, budget literacy programs, and community partnerships, ADC empowers people to co-create solutions, champion social accountability, and restore dignity where it has been denied.
Moses uses poetry not just as art — but as action. His writing channels his lived experience and the hope he sees in resilient communities. He believes poetry can disarm cynicism, awaken empathy, and stir people to justice.
This debut chapbook is more than a literary collection — it’s a personal testament and a strategic provocation. Through metaphor and memory, Moses invites readers to see sustainable development not as policy alone, but as a deeply human pursuit.
