How many books are valuable enough to merit a second go-around? Bishop's experience as a leader, athlete, diplomat and coach shines through the advice on these pages.
I recommend it as a staple for business courses, entrepreneurs, and the curious who want to know what sets excellence apart from the ordinary. - NetGalley 5*
Review
This book reminds us of the perils of chasing poorly defined notions of success – a revised edition could not be more timely or essential. - Matthew Syed, Olympian, Broadcaster, Journalist, Author
The Long Win will prompt you to unlearn and relearn what it means to be a success, individually and collectively, in a way that reflects the world of work around us. Every team is better when they spend some time learning from The Long Win. - Sarah Ellis & Helen Tupper, Co-Founders of Amazing If, Co-Hosts of The Squiggly Careers Podcast, Authors of The Squiggly Career and You Coach You
This book approaches the idea of success from a whole new angle, equipping us to think about what it would look like for all of us to win together in the long term, not just for me to beat you. It is a vital handbook for us as we face the challenges of our time, which will demand we work together as citizens, not simply to take what we can get as consumers. - Jon Alexander, Co-Founder of the New Citizenship Project and Author of Citizens
I could relate to everything in this book which applies to any leader wanting to take a long-term view of business success. In business, there is no final destination or finite measure of what winning means, so it’s essential for our teams to enjoy the journey. - John Morgan, Group CEO of Morgan Sindall Group plc
The Long Win offers a powerful blueprint for shifting paradigms and achieving enduring impact - a must-read for those seeking to reshape the meaning of winning. - Dr Ruth Gotian, Thinkers50 ranked #1 emerging management thinker in the world, author of The Success Factor and The Financial Times Guide to Mentoring

5.0 out of 5 stars A superb book that will reshape your thinking on what it means to succeed
This is a book I return to time and time again, and is one I frequently recommend to others, including many of my coaching clients. Cath lays out how pervasive and damaging our obsession with winning has become, not only in sport but in business and society. She then offers a compelling alternative, refocussing on clarity, constant learning and connection. This excellent revised and updated edition provides many more practical tips and ideas on how to do this in practice, and a series of fascinating case studies of long win leaders in action. Highly recommended.
