    Amazing follow-up to The Stepmother!! 👏👏👏

    The first book is about how Hayley and Diane met and fell in love. This book is about how they make a life together. The couple is so in love and living the life they dreamed. However, Hayley's pass comes around and forces her to deal with old wounds. Which I actually was super happy about. My heart ached for Hayley and what she went through. She has such a heart of gold - I really wanted her to be happy. Diane is the perfect partner for her - supportive, loving, encouraging, and protective. She is everything Hayley was missing in her life.

    It was such a beautiful story with the Happy Ending they both deserved.🥰

    I loved this story. My absolute favorite part that I cannot stress enough is the communication and honesty that takes place! It had me cheering them on, every single page. In most books when something happens the main character tries to hide it or will bring it up later and it all explodes, in this book there is an understanding of complete and immediate honesty and that earns a huge kudos from me, as it’s something not extremely common to find in these books. The story was warming and made my chest happy. I loved the entire thing. Thank you for your beautiful talent.

    I love the characters and their love story. Suggest reading the first book before this one. I hope we will see a third story. I don’t want to give away any part of the story so I’m begging for a third book which means i can’t get enough of the characters. I have loved several other books by this author. Suggest her books be first on you list to read.

    Diane and Hayley return so if you haven't read The Stepmother, you'll want to read that one first so you're up-to-date. I really enjoyed getting to see how Diane and Hayley were enjoying life together in this second book. One of the best things I loved about this one though is that the two didn't let things fester and cause a seemingly overwhelming gap to grow between them. The return of Hayley's past was a bit of persistent speed bump but Diane was quick to protect both Hayley (from herself and others) and their relationship while supporting Hayley as she worked through her feelings and figured out what she wanted to do. Getting to know new people can be uncomfortable but when a chance encounter with an injured young woman leads to finding family she thought abandoned her, Hayley struggles to cope. As the past meets the present, communication lapses between Hayley and Diane happen but they weren't as frustrating here as they didn't persist until the end of the story. I must admit, I think Steph (and Angie) got off lightly but when you have love, family, and Ibiza with you, letting go of toxicity is easier.

    First if you have not read The Stepmother you will need to do that to understand what is going on with Hayley and Diane. They are living in Ibiza some what care free lifestyle. Hayley is learning that life can be what you make of it and that family is an important part of life. I hope there will be a the barh continuing with bar and people who work it.
