    Time may have not been on their side the first time, but Morrigan and Vincent, “The Serpant,” proved that the second time would last in this lifetime and beyond.

    Lilith Roman wrote a twisted mafia story, full of pain and longing, blood, and secrets. A love story that haunts us on the pages, where the action is moving quickly, and their sex makes everything stand still. Their love feels maddening and yet it quiets the danger that is coming for them.

    I was intrigued at the small glimpses of their past, before The Sanctum, what had happened to them, how they fell for one another and what tore them apart.

    I love how certain scenes were written. I really felt movement. From the beginning when he locks eyes on her, when she has to join her fiancé on the dance floor, you could feel the dizziness of the scene, because of how vivid the words were. And that happens through out the book and I really was into it. The sex scenes were delicious, their slight touches, and the club, when they finally get together. It’s rough and passionate, they both do it for one another. I enjoyed that it was sexy and angsty. That angst makes sex so SATISFYING, it makes my eyes cross and my knees week.

    Morrigan is a baddie. I liked that she was equally tough and vulnerable. She wanted to save herself and fall into Vincent. Her family, her fiancé, they are in a deal that is threatening her freedom. (And much more)

    Vincent only wants to help her save herself. God, though I love Vincent. The way he wore his shadows. I liked that they blurred together to the point I couldn’t tell who was seducing who. His confidence, the way he wore his suits, and killed. The way his mind worked. The way he worshiped her!

    The Sanctum, I truly hope to read more about them. I love their loyality and their individuality.

    Vincent and Morrigan were fierce. Their freedom was so important that it didn’t matter if they walked away with some scars, it only made them darker, and they just smiled in the shadows!

    This is my 3rd book by Lilith Roman that I have absolutely loved. Her writing style always has a way of sucking me in and I find myself being unable to put the book down until the last page. Reckless Covenant did just that.

    At first glance you would think this was just like any other Mafia Romance, but you're wrong. The darkness and love shared between Morrigan "Little Eve" and Vincent "The Serpent" captivated me the entire book. One fighting for Freedom seeking Revenge while the other seeks Forgiveness and Revenge, too. While they both embraced each others darkness, they also became each others light and hope. I loved how Roman included her own twist of Eve and the Serpent from Adam and Eve in a twistedly beautiful and painful way, filled with love and acceptance.

    The chemistry, tension, and history between both MCs really reflected in their actions. Though both held more darkness than light, they showed they could be protective and possessive of each other and those they held dear to their hearts. Loyalty was a big part throughout the entire book, but trust, though hard to obtain, was earned. Morri and Vincent were the type of MCs who can be seen as strong and uncaring, but both showed fear when faced with their love being ripped from them.

    This is one book that you really don't want to skip on, though I definitely recommend reading the TW first. As their is alot of psychological/emotional abuse, a sociopathic ex, etc, that others that might be triggering to some. I really hope there will be a story following Maddox, and his past and the rest of The Sanctum in the future!

I loved the author’s take on The Deal with the Devil at the Crossroads legend. The mention of the crossroads and the story of eve and the serpent from Eden blend in seamlessly throughout the story. This was my first book from the author and nothing about this story was short from incredible.

    I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy and I rate this 3.5 stars. Fans of Rina Kent and even Jennifer L. Armentrout are going to absolutely love this story! This is part of the Twisted Legends Collection (Ten Authors are included in this series). Reckless Covenant is a Second Chance Mafia Romance that is inspired by/influenced by Eve and The Serpent(aka The Devil).

    I found the influence of the legend very intriguing. The character’s roles were definitely on point. The spice in here was very steamy and there are a few scenes that are going to stick with me for a while in the best way! Personally, the dramatics were a touch over the top for my taste, but they were done well for readers that do enjoy this type of writing.

    There is so much packed into this one story; the author gives readers’: violence, dark & gritty elements, mystery, many steamy sensual scenes, shock factor, and she ends it all with a HEA. Which, I always appreciate as a reader.

    Reckless Covenant releases on August 4, 2022! If you love Dark Romance that pulls inspiration from one of the most well known tales, then you will not want to miss out on this story🤓

    Once again Lilith enthralled me with her words. The magic she writes with such creativity always leaves me amazed.

    Reckless Covenant is a story of second chances, a fight for power and the lengths people would go to driven by greed. Morrigan O’Rourke is a strong FMC yet we see a vulnerability to her. Vincent ‘The Serpent’ Sinclair is a lethal man with a taste for his little Eve. These two together are explosive, they love to burn and the passion they have is all consuming, they come back together after years apart and their reunion is fuelled with hurt, hatred and passion.

    As always Lilith builds an incredible world with the beauty of her words, the club Metamorphosis , Midnight, the crossroads, Vincent’s house and the forest are all describe beautifully that you’re immersed in their world. I love that Morrigan’s and Lulu’s club was called Metamorphosis, the changing of one form into another and as the story goes on we see the metamorphosis Morrigan goes through , how she goes from submissive and to a powerful force to be reckoned with. The same goes for Vincent aswell, how he goes from just always being ‘The Serpent’ to Vincent, especially in Morrigan’s eyes.

    Lilith’s world building, character developments always leave you wanting more, even when the story is long finished, I will say one thing… I need a book for each of the other guys, I need Maddox’s book, Carter’s book & Finn’s book! Another excellent story! It’s not a normal mafia romance, it’s not a normal story of Eve and the serpent , it’s so much more than that!

    I have been so excited to read this story. This is a second-chance mafia romance.

    Morrigan is a strong, independent and powerful woman but her family did not support her. For her father, she was just a means to an end, a ladder through which he wanted to climb up high in the power rank in the underworld but that did not stop her from finding her path and following it.

    Vincent 'The Serpent' Sinclair was a powerful man in the underworld, he made his name with his Sanctum brothers. People fear them and wanted to be in business with them at the same time.

    Morri and Vin was once something but Vincent broke Morri's heart years ago so she was not ready to trust him after he made a mockery of her love and with all the thing she was facing with her family and boyfriend/fiance trust doesn't come easy to her but Vincent was ready to do anything to earn her trust.

    There was so much going on at the same time and they had to trust each other so that they can all come out of it. They were explosive together.

    I did indeed enjoy this book it was the author's first time diving into this genre and I loved it. Morri and Vin are one of my favourite power couples.

    Overall plot of the book was great BUT I needed more from Vincent and morrigan. For two people so in love I didn’t really get that vibe even at the end. I don’t doubt they were in love but considering how much abuse she got from Ryan it’s like suddenly she was “normal” again and all the things he did didn’t affect her. I wish we would have see a bit more of their relationship now they were out the other-side. Also found it but weird how Vincent was jealous over everyone but then did a 3some with Maddox when he knew he has feelings for morrigan. I hope lulu gets with Maddox and Evie with Finn. I’m not sure where Carter is going to end up but that should be good. Overall book was good but book 1 had much more grit and love between the main 2 characters. I did still enjoy it tho

    How can such a gorgeous person produce such devilishly wicked books will always get me. Serpent is *drool* a man amde by hades himself and he certainly knows it.
    It's addictive and edge of your seat s-x.
    We can blame Lilth for the contribution to the heatwave with Reckless Covenant. Mafia Dark Romance is an incredible match made in hell for Lilth. I didn't think I could have two books by the same author in my top 5 but it's happened. The whole collection is amazing but Lilth's hits that little bit darker, sweeter and sexier. I'm determined not to spoil anything so I'll leave it at that.

    From the beginning, the plot, the twists and the chemistry completely sucks you right in. The chemistry between these characters is off the charts. Vincent regardless of his role and lifestyle, will have your heart melting, leaving you wanting your very own Serpent. Morrigan is fierce, and everything you'll love in an FMC, with a sassy attitude, fights for those she loves and whilst standing up for herself.
    I didn't want it to end. Honestly I'm praying that Lu and Madds, and the other guys get their books. I need more of this world and these characters!
    This is the first book that I've read by this author and I was not disappointed, I'll definitely be reading more of hers. SOOO GOOD!
