I've read a lot of books but this one surprised me by taking the plot and constantly directed you to believe one thing only to get a tidbit of information and sends your mind off somewhere else.

The Secrets You Keep for me was not Dark in the normal sense of the word. Violet may be faced with a tormented past that hints to "Dark" potential acts but I did not expect the plot twists.

A tragedy threatens to break Violet but with the support from her Brother's childhood best friend and secret crush, Tristan manages to keep his promise to watch over her. Violet has been secretly crushing over him since she realized boys weren't gross.

Tristan's life takes a turn and he ends up back home where he can be around Violet and his repressed feelings get tested and pushed to the breaking point. Add in Knox, Violet's tattooed gangster step brother, who brings in all the buried trauma after 5 years and you have a story where you cheer for the Good Guy, question the Bad Boy, and never expect what comes from the Secrets.

I laughed a little, wanted to yell wth, and I cried when the Author paints such emotional scenes with her words. Definitely have a few tissues ready for the feels, a fan to cool yourself off because oh my sexy hotness there are plenty of thigh clenching scenes, and settle in for a different MFM Romance that's outside the typical. I was definitely happily surprised to read such a refreshing book that kept you on your toes!

Tracy Laurent is one of my favorite authors. I loved merciless, could have been a little bit more fast-paced. This book was really good. I wish it would have been a little longer. But other than that, it was really fast-paced. I wish she had a little bit more development on the whole thing fire issue with her brother. Roman, and maybe have gone into a little bit of debt on that. I'm glad to see returning characters and everything other than that. This was a really good book read at your own peril.

Violet has got to be one of my favourite FMC in a book she’s strong independent knows what she wants but we also see her vulnerability and how her two guys hold her up when she’s struggling.

Knox oh boy I need a Knox in my life he literally gave (some) of his life for her to protect her from more hurt during a life changing time. He’s strong knows what he wants and he’s been in love with Violet since he was 16. He’s the bad boy from the creek but had a heart of gold for his Violet!

Tristan is adorable but don’t get me wrong he’s sexy as sin too! When his NFL dream ends and he goes back to college and be near Violet again it’s everything he wants and when he and Violet can’t deny the tension anymore they’re explosive together. The chemistry is undeniable between them and I love how Tristan despite what later comes out stayed true to his word for as long as he did.

This book seriously took you on a journey and I loved how their relationship developed and how accepting the guys were of Violets love for each of them and wanting to be with both them.

The side characters were fun especially Knox’s friends and I hope we can read more from them in other books.

Definitely recommend this book and can’t wait to read more

To say that I'm obsessed with this book is an understatement. I literally will read anything Tracy writes.

I had no idea who the leading lady was going to be in this story and I was not disappointed when in chapter one I saw Violet's name. I was always curious about her story

Tristan, brother's best, NFL hotshot, the boy Violet has had a crush on since childhood. Who's always been there for her, her rock no matter what.

Knox, the stepbrother, the gangster and the boy Violet loved first and lost when they were kids. The boy who broke her heart and kept damaging secrets from her.

I am 100% obsessed with Violet, Tristan and Knox. The way their story unfolds is pure perfection. These three have been through some very tough times and I believe they completely deserve each other. Having two of my favourite troupe really set the bar high for this story with so many ups and downs. Violent struggles to come to terms with how her future will go because she is caught with the what if's of her past and how her life can work with both of the most important men in her life.

Side note: When are we getting the Harris brothers and Micha's because I'm dying over here to get the chance to unravel all their secrets and find out which women can steal their hearts. I also wouldn't be upset with a West and Brax story.

Normally I’m a huge Tracy Lorraine fan. This story just didn’t resonate with me for some reason. It starts off with intrigue of someone watching Violet, will they or won’t they moments with Tristan but it quickly dropped the storyline in favor of spicy scenes. I’m here for the spicy, the scenes are well done chefs kiss but it came to a point where they couldn’t get a sentence out without spice. I legit don’t know if they had anything to talk about. I’m intrigued to read Ella’s story hoping she doesn’t end up with who the author is alluding to.
